Legal Considerations:
Law of Copyright (): The law gives the creators of literary, dramatic, musical, artistic
works, sound recordings, broadcasts, films and typographical arrangement of published editions, rights to control the ways in which their material may be used. For example, people must get permission from the owner of a certain entity to use it. It was issued April 2000. It is statutory with the passing of the Copyright act 1911. This does not apply to me when I take my photos because all of it will be my own work, so I will not be breaking the law.

Law of Discrimination: As part of the 2010 Equality Act, It is against the law to discriminate (to make an unjust distinction in the treatment of different categories of people) against; age, being or becoming transsexual, being married or in a civil partnership, being pregnant or having a child, disability, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation. These are called protected characteristics. This applies to my work because I must make sure to be fair against all genders, ages and races. I will make sure that I do not break this law by not prejudicing against any protected characteristics. Law of Obscenity: The obscene publications act (OPA) 1959 and 1964 says that it is an offence to publish, whether for gain or not, any content whose effect will tend to deprave and corrupt those like to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it. This could include images of extreme sexual activity such as bestiality, necrophilia, rape or torture. It is punishable by up to five years in prison or a fine. I will ensure that I do not break this law by including images that will not cause offence, my photos will all be none-offensive and light hearted in their nature. Law of Defamation: I will not break this law because I will not be taking photos which will be detrimental to someones character. My photos will be positive. Law of Trespass: I will not break this law by taking my photos on public land or in my own property. I will not illegally be entering someone elses property without their permission.

Ethical Considerations: I will be taking photos for a magazine aimed at teenagers but I must consider both the young and old. I must consider things such as the pose of my models, the dress of them or the meaning that is created from the photos. It must not be a suggestive meaning. I must also make a positive representation of teenagers seeing as this is my target audience, I will do this by not following the perceived stereotype of rebellious teenagers. I shall also take into consideration the sex of the models used on the front covers, so that it features both male and female.
