Summary of the position:

Fellowship One Database Administrators purpose is to help every ministry ask better questions and make better decisions so they can build up the body of Christ. Doing this by proactively understanding their information needs and delivering timely, accurate and relevant information solutions while ensuring that peoples stories are captured, kept current, and protected by condentiality.
Experience and Knowledge Required: Ability to lead, build consensus and problem solve with limited supervision yet effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and other churches. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and dependability. Flexible, patient and a self-starter. Able to handle confidential information with integrity. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proficient in Internet research/navigation, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in grammar, spelling and punctuation. Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for leading and ensuring accurate data input by all departments into Fellowship One Ministry Database. Develop policies and procedures to accumulate relevant data and information including system and processes. Policies and procedures should include enough detail to identify persons responsible and timeline requirements. Cooperation with staff on said development will be required. Prepares, maintains and documents policy and procedures in a professional, organized and meaningful way to help facilitate staff understating and compliance. Assist staff in the implementation of policy and procedures related to data accumulation and input. Help mobilize, train and support staff and volunteers who are involved in the process. Develop internal controls that ensure data is input into Fellowship One securely, accurately and timely. Aware of and understands new updates and upgrades available and implements them when appropriate. Provide training and technical support for the Fellowship One database. This includes developing user-friendly written training materials. Train assigned personnel from each ministry to become self-sufficient with database to run their own reports, manage activity set-up, and check-in. Execute regular database cleanup activities. Create list of regular cleanup activities including description and timeframe of cleanup (i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.) Actively and creatively participate in furthering integration and efficiencies between Fellowship One and other systems utilized by the staff. (Shelby, Small Groups, Conference Registration) Regularly evaluate systems and suggest improvements and best practices when appropriate.

Be fluent with the information system and database including appropriate training, certifications, etc. May be required to attend out of town training and conferences on an annual basis or more.

Other Duties and Responsibilities: Manage projects, organize tasks and prioritize workload Communicate with manager and other team members Create documentation and training for each ministry area Work closely with pastors, managers, staff and other key volunteers of reporting information to understand their needs/requirements for reporting and data analysis Develop a structure to manage the process of requesting, tracking, modifying and creating new reporting information. Create and produce reports from the database as needed. Assist other staff in the production of reports.
