Within the State
Preschool the first-
aid kit, made up of
a plastic
Tupperware box, is
located within the
childrens bathroom
in a metal storage
cabinet with a red
cross emblem on
front. The first-aid
kit is located
towards the left
hand side of the
metal cabinet and
within it had all the
required Title 22
first-aid supplies.

first-aid manual.

The AAP and child
care licensing
agencies specify the
first aid supplies
that are required for
childrens setting
(Sorte, Daeschel,
Amador, 2011,
557).



According to the
observation, the
State Preschool is in
compliance with
Title 22 regulations
and also has the
necessary first aid
materials listed in
the text book that
needs to be kept
within the first aid
kit. Having the
correct first aid kit
benefits the
childrens
developmental
domain physically,
because the children
know that if they get
hurt there is the
proper materials to
bandage them up

As a
recommendation, an
extra first aid kit
should be available,
especially if there is
an instance where
two children
accidentally hurt
themselves in
completely separate
areas of the
preschool grounds.

I observed a child
being sent home
because it was an
infection on his arm
that could have
been a possible
ring-worm.
Teachers and staff
notified the parents
by handing out a
notice stating that
the school was
exposed to a child
having possibly
(ring-worm), and
was inserted in
there cubbies before
parent pick-up.

observation Little
Blessing preschool
was in compliance
with Title 22

Regulation. Also
according to the text
the teachers did
communicate with
the other families
about the infectious
condition that they
experienced in the
class. This
exemplifies the
physical and social
development aspect.
I think next time,
they spread out and
clean and sanitize
every area
immediately the child
has been and not just
keep focus on that
one child. Or even
send out one staff;
then continue with
daily routine. They
also could
incorporate a lesson
about different
germs, and infections
we can get and some
that are contagious so
they will be more
aware.

During my
observation and
during the children
lunch I noticed that
they always had
some kind of fruit
or vegetable. The
teachers encouraged
the children that
didnt want to eat
there meal, to try
and take a bite or
two of their fruits or
veggies.
Serve 2 or more
kinds of
vegetable(s) and/or
fruit(s). Full-
strength vegetable
or fruit juice may
be counted to meet
not more than one-
half of this
requirement
(Section 101227)
Offer a daily a
fruit or vegetable
rich in vitamin C
such as citrus fruits,
kiwis, strawberries,
mangoes, red
peppers, and
tomatoes. (Sorte,
Daeschel, Amador,
2011, 211)

Little Blessings are
complying with
Title 22 and our text
book. Also, my
observation was
correct about how
much fruit and
vegetables the
children eat. By
being in compliance
it benefits the
childrens physical,
social and emotional
development
because of the
nutrients they
receive that help
them grow.

I recommend the
teachers to let each
parent know to do the
same encouragement
at home so it will be
balanced on both
ends.
