Twas the night beforemy bags are packed and I will be off once more in a few short hours! Man time has flown! Thank you all so much for your prayers, love and support! This trip is only possible with all of you doing what you can and giving so sacrificially. Some have asked, why are you going and what will you be doing? So I thought I would share a taste of what is to come. After leaving here, I will land in Townsville, Australia. There I will be meeting with people working with TB and serving locally with YWAM. I hope to build some key relationships with those in the TB field for guidance and help once the lab is operational. My next stop will be to Lae, Papua New Guinea (PNG). While there I will have the privilege to meet with leaders in the region and share with them what is on my heart and what I believe is on Gods heart for this endeavor. Before a lab is developed there, I desire to receive the blessings of those who have been working in the field and know the lay of the land. The following week I will be in Port Moresby, PNG, to meet with more leaders and staff during a DNA Conference (a leadership training track). The most exciting portion of my journey is what comes next! I will be serving on a ship (Pacific Link) in some pretty remote places and working in some amazing locations! This time will be excellent to see how to collect samples in the field and how better to design the lab onboard. What better way to design a lab than to go on an exploration mission?? My final week in the region will be spent in New Zealand where I plan to make some new contacts regarding a second vessel that also desires a lab onboard. After everything is said and done, I will be away for about 2 months and traveled to some new places! Why do I go?? Well, it is often referred to as a two handed gospel. Everywhere we go we serve a felt need through mercy missions and share the gospel of Jesus. The ships have been doing amazing work, but could you imagine going to a doctor and not being about to have basic lab work done? That is where I come in I am helping to establish a functioning lab onboard so that where ever the doctors go, they will have the tools they need to better help the people of the nation of Papua New Guinea. By helping them in practical ways, doors are opened in their hearts to receive the best gift of all Jesus! So, that is why I go, train, teach and soon set up labs!
Next Steps I have been honored with a special invitation to attend a global leadership conference in Singapore! I have also been asked to teach once more in Switzerland. After seeking the Lord about these two opportunities, I truly believe I am to participate in both. Would you be believing with me and pray about helping me get there? I have all ready registered for the conference now I just need to buy the air tickets I will need to raise $3,000 dollars for all of my traveling expenses and room and board. This conference in Singapore is significant for the future of my ministry and I believe my trip to Switzerland is also important. When I return from this trip I do not have any more trips on the horizon. This year has been exceptionally full, but when launching an international ministry that is expected! I so appreciate your prayers as I make these key decisions. Prayer Requests As I have mentioned previously, I am believing and trusting for an amazing breakthrough in the area of TB research. It would be extremely effective to have a more rapid diagnostic tool to determine the exact strain of TB. By identifying the correct strain the potential cure rate is drastically increased. If we were able to develop one, that wouldnt only affect a village, but potentially the world. Please be praying for wisdom and discernment for me. I am also praying for finances, team members, co-leaders, a home and some dreams. Thank you so much! I know this is a longer, than usual letter, but please continue reading I wanted to share one small story (on the next page)!
Love, April !

Why yes!! Before I left for this trip I took a small trip up a mountain with some friends. Here there is a world class observatory on Mauna Kea. On any given day you can drive up to the visitors center and novice astronomers set up amazing telescopes to view the near by plants, stars, and moon !
I took this photo with my camera and wanted to share it with you! The main reason was because of what happened while I was taking this photo.
I met a young boy (probably 5) and he was there with his parents to explore the planets. He was so excited about how big the moon looked and how small Saturn looked and we had a great conversation!
Yes, in the end he agreed with me that the moon was smaller, but the fun part of it was engaging with his mind to see this marvelous part of Gods creation! He was so cute, and asked so many questions. We had a lengthy discussion about Pluto too!
This a small thing, but yet a tremendous blessing for me. To encourage exploration and discovery in ANYONE brings me so much joythis young boy made my night! Me being able to capture a snapshot of the moon, well that was the icing on the cake!
