Biography of Jay Kirk

Jay began his career in radio working on-air at his high school radio station,
BD!-"#$ After grad%ating fro& 'ndiana State (niversity, Jay worked for
AB) Sports on a wide variety of telecasts and was part of the AB) Sports
tea& who won an *&&y Award for coverage of the 'ndy +,,, the first
awarded for sports progra&&ing$
'n "ebr%ary -./0, Jay was one of the PDS )hannel +. e&ployees that
la%nched the nation1s first stereo (2" television station, which went on to
beca&e one of the original affiliates of the "34 television network$
After several years in live television, Jay concentrated his career working on
national ad ca&paigns and corporate videos %sed for sales 5 &arketing,
&otivation, training, and &ergers 5 ac6%isitions$
ith the advent of the internet, Jay began creating websites, and digital
&edia, incl%ding interactive DVD1s$ -../, Jay oversaw the creation of one of
the &ost co&ple7 DVD1s ever created to that day$ And i&&ediately after
finishing that pro8ect, Jay spent the ne7t few years leading the tea& that
created the second gate attraction for the #ada&e 9%ssa%d1s a7 #%se%&
8%st opening in 9i&es S6%are :;<)=$ 9his was another first, as no one had
created a video :really a very h%ge co&p%ter file= in high definition that was
pro8ected on a >?, degree, do&ed screen with @$- s%rro%nd so%ndA
Jay1s leadership and creativity have placed hi& on prod%ction tea&s that
created the&ed attractions for (niversal St%dios, alt Disney orld,
Kennedy Space )enter, B%sch !ardens, and Seaorld$ 2e also has a co%ple
of feat%re fil&s to his credits as well as national television ads for the likes of
alt Disney orld, S&%cker1s, and ;AS)AB$
'n C,,> Jay again took on the role of Stage #anagerDDirector where he got
heavily involved in prod%cing and directing &any live corporate &eetings and
b%siness theater events thro%gho%t the (S$
'n C,,0 Jay was added to a tea& that was challenged with creating a new
i&&ersive, e7periential advertising &edia :later na&ed the E*"4 4perienceF=
that was la%nched in shopping &alls in the (S$ 9he *"4 was %ni6%e in that it
reached its a%dience thro%gh all five sensesG sight, hearing, to%ch, s&ell, and
taste :si&%lated=$
'n C,,?, 9he alt Disney )o&pany hired Jay as a !lobal *ntertain&ent
#anager$ Jay perfor&ed a wide variety of tasks in this role creating
&e&orable E#agical #o&entsF at Disney Parks 5 Besorts$ A few &onths
later Jay earned his pyrotechnics credentials, and was na&ed the &anager of
the alt Disney orld *ntertain&ent rigging tea&, AV inventory, and
e6%ip&ent repair shop$ 2e also &aintained )inderella1s edding )oach$ 'n
Jan%ary C,,/, he was placed on the 9echnical Director Bench for alt Disney
*ntertain&ent$ By A%g%st, Jay was cross-%tiliHed by Disney )r%ise Iines as
the *ntertain&ent 9echnical 3perations #anager$ 'n this role, Jay was
responsible for the technical aspects of all entertain&ent acts and
perfor&ances onboard the Disney #agic and Disney onder, as well as all
the entertain&ent ven%es on both ships and )astaway )ay$ 2e was part of
the >D cine&a technology installation tea& and fro& EshoresideF &anaged
the 0C entertain&ent technicians onboard the ships$
*ven tho%gh he saw rapid advance&ent with 9he alt Disney )o&pany, Jay
decided in Jan%ary C,,. to p%t his log ho&e b%ilder certification to %se and
headed for the &o%ntains of estern ;orth )arolina$ E' had a drea& to
b%ild &y own ho&e$ ' hated to leave what ' was doing, b%t ' also knew '
had other goals to achieve, and ' wasn1t getting any yo%nger$F hile
constr%ction began i&&ediately, Jay also was offered a position with PSAV
Asheville :Presentation Services=, where he re&ains today$
9he C+J years of e7perience in sales, advertising, &arketing, training,
prod%cing, directing, designing, ani&ating, and shooting of video, web based
&aterials, and digital &edia content &ake Jay an asset to any tea&$ Jay1s

Jay is &arried to his wife, Jennifer$ 2e has a son, Bradley, and a da%ghter,
Bethany$ 2e en8oys traveling, golf, sailing, and snorkeling$
