Data (iles such as 6ord documents can 7e kept on a computer (or (uture uses such as
editing and printing8 To (ind documents 1ou 6ill need to store them in an organised (ashionD
in the same 6a1 1ou might (ile documents like lesson notes, 7ills, letters and 7ank
statements at home8
Eust as 1ou might use (olders to organise 1our personal or 7usiness documents, 1ou
also store 1our computer documents in #$+ders8 ! (older is onl1 a device (or grouping (iles in
the same location, not a data (ile8
,$+ders and #i+es can 7e stored on a computerFs desktop or on a storage device 6hich
6ill 7e a7le to store hundreds or thousands o( documents8
Folders can 7e created or moved so that the1 sit 6ithin another (older, and so on8
