Thanks to all the volunteers for their work this past week with Family
Promise. I appreciate everyone's help with coverage, set up and

Attention All Senior High Youth! Grab your Sunscreen, Bible,
Towel, and a Friend! We are having a retreat to Brick, New Jersey
August 22nd to the 24th. Paper work will be available in the youth
room. A $40.00 deposit is due ASAP. Final cost TBD. Don't let cost get
in the way, contact Scott Kuhnle for available scholarships.

ESUMC Fun and Fellowship Picnic
Come on out to celebrate the end of the summer and the start of a
new school year with food, fellowship, games, and lots of laughs!!

Time: 12:30pm - 4:00pm

Burgers, Hot Dogs, Beverages, and Paper
Goods will be provided. Please bring a Side Dish/Dessert to share and
B.Y.O.C (bring your own chair). In the event of rain, the Picnic will be
held in Fellowship Hall.

Women of Faith
Women of Faith is taking place this year on September 5th and 6th.
We still have tickets left. If anyone is interested they can call me at

Reclaim your life!
Women's Bible Study will be returning on Thursday, September 11
2014. The group will embark on a 14 week study through Max
Lucado's life priorities program; It's Not About Me: Rescue From The
Life We Thought Would Make Us Happy. Join in fellowship with other
women, grow your faith, and lift each other up in weekly prayer. Study
will be held in the Bridal Lounge, and begins at 9:15 a.m. and ends
promptly at 11:00 a.m. All women welcome. For more information

Stephen Ministry

IS GOD CALLING YOU?
ESUMC will be training a new class of Stephen Ministers
beginning September 24, 2014. For those who are
considering being part of this class, Stephen Leaders and
Stephen Ministers will be present at a display table in Fellowship Hall after
each service on Aug. 17

. You can watch short videos of care
receivers giving words of testimony as to how Stephen Ministry has
benefitted them in times of personal trial. Training manuals will be
available for review, and members of the Stephen Ministry team will be
happy to answer your questions. This is a great opportunity to learn
more about Stephen Ministry! Please pray about this opportunity! If God
is calling you to serve as a Stephen Minister, pick up an Application and
Job Description complete the application, and return it to Peggy Strack at
the church office by Monday, August 25, 2014.

Thank You: To all who have been completing the weekly
communication cards found in your bulletins and have been placing
them in the offering plates! Your completed cards have helped the
Caring Caller Team to identify and reach out to regular attendees
who have been missing from church.

For those who have missed the former pew pads for signing in,
please note that using the cards has significantly increased the
number of confidential prayer requests.

Thank you again for helping us with the process of maintaining a
Caring Church.
