The Department of School Education, Haryana vide its Memo
No. 17/14-2013(DIET), dated 06.09.2014 has informed that there have been some
ambiguities regarding qualifications and number of posts in Advt. No. 3/2014, dated
30.08.2014 for the posts of Assistant Professors - H.E.S.-II (Group- B Services) for
DIETs/BIETs/GETTIs and SCERT, which was published on 31.08.2014 in Dainik Bhaskar,
Amar Ujala, The Tribune and Times of India newspapers. Therefore, Advt. No. 3/2014, dated
30.08.2014 is hereby withdrawn and further in this regard a revised advertisement is made
as under:-

Note 1. Common Qualifications in respect of Post Graduation Degree from Cat. No.
1 to 21:-
Post Graduation in the relevant subject (e.g. Relevant subject means i.e. for the
post of Assistant Professor, Mathematics - M.A./ M. Sc. in Mathematics only.
Similarly for the post of Assistant Professor, Physics - M. Sc. in Physics only,
Assistant Professor, Linguistics, M.A. in Linguistics and so on for other posts). It
is further clarified that M.A./M. Sc. (Honours) candidate will also be eligible, in
terms of above, accordingly.
Note 2. 3% of vacancies shall be reserved horizontally for persons with disabilities of
suffering from (i) blindness or low vision, (ii) hearing impairment and (iii)
locomotor disability or cerebral palsy.
Note 3. 33% posts in each category i.e. General/Open Competition(OC), Scheduled Caste
(SC), Backward Class (A) & Backward Class (B), SBC, EBPGC and Ex-serviceman
(ESM) shall be reserved for women and this reservation shall be horizontal.
Note 4. If the quota reserved for Ex-servicemen or Backward Classes remains unfilled
due to non-availability of suitable Ex-servicemen or their dependents or non-
availability of suitable candidates from Backward Classes there will be 2%
reservation of freedom fighter & the children/grand children to that extent.
Note 5. Professional Training Diploma or Certificate awarded by any State, Board or
University other than Haryana Education Department will be recognized only if
this Degree or Diploma or Certificate has been recognized by the Haryana
Government.
Note 6. Candidate possessing higher academic or professional qualification will not be
eligible unless he possesses the minimum qualifications, experience and other
eligibility conditions, if any, prescribed for the said post.
Note 7. Consistent good academic record means that out of the lower qualifications i.e.
Graduation/10+2/Matric etc., than the requisite minimum qualification, one
must secure at least 55% marks in one lower examination and 50% marks in
the two lower exam. If there are only two lower examinations, then one must
secure at least 55% marks in one lower exam and 50% marks in another.
Note 8. Reservation in Scheduled Caste (SC), Backward Class (A) & Backward Class (B),
SBC, EBPGC and Ex-serviceman (ESM) & PHC are only for Haryana State
candidates.
Note 9. Physically Handicapped Candidates means Physically Challenged/Persons
with Disabilities.
Note 10. Candidates applying must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions on
the last date fixed for submission of online application forms i.e., 29.09.2014 the
closing date given in the advertisement if on verification at any time before or
after the written examination or interview or appointment, it is found that they
do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions or it is found that the information
furnished is false or incorrect their candidature will be cancelled.

The prescribed essential qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called
for interview. In the event of number of applications being large scale the Haryana School
Teachers Selection Board (HSTSB) may short list the candidates for interview by holding a
written examination or on the basis of academic criteria or percentage cut off to be adopted
by the Board. The decision of the Board in all matters relating to acceptance or rejection of an
application, eligibility/suitability of the candidates, mode of, and criteria for selection etc. will
be final and binding on the candidates. No inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in
this regard.
