What Have I Done?

I opened my eyes in dirt. I grew up in a place where people are also a part of debris. I belong to the most
suppressed class of this society. I do not get clothes, food and shelter. Can anybody answer me why am I
forced to beg? Why my parents are unable to feed me and pay for my studies and my clothes? Why tattered
clothes are my fate? Why am I just allowed to watch the kids with their chauffeurs escorting them to their elite
schools, carrying pricey bags and wearing expensive clothes and accessories? Why my mother has to work and
serve others? Why my father does not have a respectable job? Why my family job is to beg from others and get
a bit of money? Am I born to gain looks of disdain from others? Am I born to watch people looking down upon
me? Why everybody has to treat me low? Why crying over my providence is my life? Why am I forced to eat the
ugly things collected from the trash cans? Why my life is subjected to be spent under the scorching heat of sun
and in freezing winters without any piece of cloth on my body? Why every year a lot of my friends die, due to
food poisoning, malnutrition and absence of any sort of medication? Why dont we have any house to live like
other normal human beings? Why my days are spent looking at others and envying them? Why do I have to
yearn for everything in my life even the basic rudiments? Why cant I dream for myself? Why cant I plan or even
think about my future? Do a person who doesnt know what education is, can plan a future? Why these slums
are my fortune? Why does my life depend upon the kindness of the haves? Why I do lie in the category of havenots? Why I was just born and thrown into this hell hole? What is even the purpose of my sick life?
These are the cries of a little child who is deprived of all the fundamentals of life. He has only experienced the
side of life in which the image of life is like living hell, where children die, crying for water. Families commit
suicide. Parents kill their children because they have to feed them, being unable to do this, they end their lives.
This is a society in which inequality among the masses exist. Poor ones have done this sin that they arent born
in a nicer environment where people have got better living styles. This social inequality leads to a miserable life
for those people who are lacking the primary essentials of their existence. Now, lets shower some light over
the causes of this inequality. Primarily, the absence of circulation of money in a society is the cause of this
disparity. A common notion is that people do not care for their fellow beings. Humanity is starting to disappear
in our society. Every person enjoying the best of his life busies himself in the hurricane of his own concerns. His
life becomes so fast and speedy that he has no time to bother. People need to look around themselves and get
to know and help those who are famished, who are aching for a shelter, which dont get medicine when they
get ill. This social dissimilarity may boost up the crime rate. In this way, negativity prevails which imparts
horrendous results in a state. These unprivileged people cant raise voices for their rights but can end their
unworthy lives. Masses of the society have to learn to care for others, if not; soon a disaster will be waiting for
us. Those poor souls will turn into an anti social entity of our state that will ruin our system and will eat us up.
The responsible of the state have to take necessary measures to at least provide these depressed people with
food to eat clothes to wear and place to live. A small, will be a big for these people. Lets just take a start
somewhere as a minimum. Eventually, they will be relieved. Our little effort which may seem insignificant to us
but it will be a matter of life and death for someone else. Our one nice deed will be eternal. Nobody is asking us
to go and save humanity but do a little on your account. It is guaranteed that it will be a source sheer pleasure
and contentment for us. We do a lot for ourselves, lets just go beyond this and do a little for others too. Our
little comfort may give a life to a dying individual. Dont let them question themselves that why they were born
and what they have done to face these entire crises.
