Reading Club Update:
River has received our
very first RES Reading
Club ribbon! He has
read 4 books and done
4 journal entries.
Reading Club members
are working towards a
group effort of reading
50 books and the
chance to choose a
book to take home!

November Clubs are Under Way!


Every month Part 2 will offer new clubs for your child to participate in during activity time.
These mini-classes will last 4-5 weeks and will end with a culminating project!
Monday:

earning a book to take home!

Thursday:

Collage Club will begin this month


with Mr. Jackson. Students will
become Part 2 photographers using
the Ipad. These photos, along with
elements found in nature, will be used
to create a large Part 2 collage to
display in the cafeteria.

This month in Camping Club kids will


work together and use communication
skills to put up a tent and create a
campfire (out of candy and pretzels!). For
the culminating activity, Ms. Kae will be
taking kids outside to learn about
nocturnal animals!

Ms. Tessa will be teaching kids about


the science behind volcanoes in
Volcano Club this month. Kids will also
be creating their own volcanoes out of
papier mache and watching them
erupt!

Reading Club with Ms. Ashley has


become a popular club at Part 2. Kids
will get to explore the library and
create their own reading journals
while working towards the goal of

This month, Ms. Sarah will be starting


Team Building Club just for 3rd and 4th
graders. Kids will work on communication
skills and patience while playing fun
active games!

Friday:
Each Friday students will be reading
one fairytale with Ms. Emily in
Fairytale Club. Kids will create props
and scripts to recreate and act out their
version of the fairytales.

Pick Up Reminders:
Please make sure you are not
parking in the bus loop during
pick up. This needs to be kept
open for buses and as a fire
lane.

Part 2

Part 2 had a
blast at Regal
Gymnastics
during Vacation
camp!

Community Helpers:
Apple Crisp Baking to Support RES Farm to School
Part 2 kids will have the opportunity each
month to become community helpers.
This month we helped the Farm to School
program bake apple crisp for the
Richmond Harvest Festival. Starting in
November, Part 2 will be responsible for
collecting and sorting the teracycle at
RES. We will be creating a graph in the
cafeteria to keep track of how many hours
we have completed!

Session 2 of enrichment is well


under-way! Classes offered this
session are: RES News Team,
Jewelry and Beading, Seasonal
Baking, Crafts for Dolls, and Legos & Games. Stay tuned
for next sessions offerings Session 3 begins the week of
January 12th. Sign ups will begin in December!
