Personal Background:

I have been fortunate enough to live in four countries (Australia, Malaysia,

Thailand and China) in the past 18 years. Each experience in all of these places has allowed
me to gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and traditions. Among other things
such as learning how to co - operate with the different ethnic groups and the customs of
different societies. Being given the chance to travel the world and experience so much at such
a young age has opened my eyes to the continuous opportunities that are out there. I think
with the experience and enthusiasm I have, I would make a great candidate for a job in
Hospitality.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to recommend Emily Hanna for a position on the David Jones team. For the past
two years I have been Emily’s team leader at the Christian family centre. Emily has been a
volunteer and responsible for mentoring a group of high school students and involved
producing weekly events for up to 100 teenagers.
During the past two years Emily has been very impressive in her commitment to this
program, she demonstrates initiative and often goes above and beyond what is the status quo
of her peers. I have always found Emily courteous, respectful and mature above her years and
have seen her foster excellent rapport with students, parents and fellow volunteers alike.
Emily has been exposed to some stressful and labour intensive situations in this
volunteer capacity and has impressed me with her interpersonal communication skills
combined with her ability to get tasks done.
I highly commend Emily to you for this position and I know that she will be an asset to you.
Please feel free to make contact with me if you require and further information. 0433143222
