Biometric Policy HO Power Group

Scope
The Policy applies to all existing Indiabulls HO Power employees.

Need for Biometric Attendance


Biometric attendance has many advantages over our traditionally
maintained muster rolls.
1. Employee can view their daily as well as monthly attendance online and
also raise their time correction request through I-net, if required.
2. Online attendance status of Team member to reporting Manager/HOD &
functionality of online approval of time correction requests raised.
3. Easy to store data, less prone to theft or soiled.
4. Controlled by central Team.
5. Reports or MIS on attendance is readily available on Inet.

Biometric Attendance Rules


1. All locations where Biometric attendance is live, employees have to mark
their attendance through Biometric Machines only.
2. Employees other than those having Single Shift, have to mark their finger
impressions twice a day.
3. All employees are required to complete 9 hours of working on any given
day to be marked as Full Day Present (employee having Single Punching
have to punch only once a day)
4. For working Saturdays, employee has to complete 7hours to be marked as
Full Day Present and more than 5 hours for short leave.
5. Buffer time of 1 hour prior and 1 hour after the shift start time shall be
permitted.
6. Any employee marking their finger impression after the completion of the
Buffer Time of 1 hour would be considered as Late Arrival. This shall be
permitted only till one hour
from the end of the buffer time. Thereafter, half day present shall be marked
if the person completes more than 3 hours in the office, else full day leave
shall be considered.

7. Only 5 (L) Ps will be allowed in a month, from 6th (L) P, it shall be treated
as Half Day Leave (H/D), irrespective of numbers of hours worked, provided
minimum 3 hours Of working is completed.
8. Only 2 S/Ls will be allowed in a month, from 3rd S/L, it shall be treated as
Half Day Leave (H/D)
9. SNP will be treated as Leave (L), unless time correction is approved by the
reporting
manager as updated in Inet.

Compensatory Off (Comp-Off)


Eligibility:
All employees are eligible for Compensatory-Off (Comp-Off).

Entitlement:
For one day Comp-Off an employee should have
a) Minimum 6 hours of working on Non working day/Sunday/holiday.
b) Incase employee has continuously worked for a minimum period of 6
hours
beyond
the
completion
of
the
usual
working
hours
on Non working day/Sunday/holiday.; they will be eligible for one day
Comp-Off.

Accumulation:
a) Comp-Off can be availed within 365 days, from the accrual.
b) Comp-Off can not be clubbed with any other leave types.
c) Approved Comp-Off must be received in HR within one month from the
day for
which comp-off is requested.

Sandwich Holiday: This clause has been discontinued


Treatment of Exceptions:
a) Employees working for more than 12 hours continuously have to punch
in their
out time after completion of 12 hours in office.
b) New Joinees at biometric location have to immediately get their finger
impression
registered with the Biometric Team at HR for HO
c) Post registration with Biometric, the new joinees has to raise time
correction
request through Inet for the days from date of joining till date of
registration.
d) Problem with finger impression should immediately be informed to the
Biometric

e) Leave / absent - In case any employee is absent without any
information then the
Reporting Manager / Department Head may exercise the power to mark
him A
by marking mail to biometric@indiabulls.com.
f) In case of continuous leaves for more than five working days towards
the end of
the payroll cycle needs to be sent at biometric@indiabulls.com by 20th of
every
month by Reporting Manager/HOD to avoid salary hold cases.
g) Time Correction request should only be raised through the monthly
time
correction utility on Inet http://inet.indiabulls.com/Pages/BIO10.aspx
