A LIFETIME OF COMMITMENT
If you are a pet owner, please sterilise your pet. Besides improving your pet's
chances of a healthier life, sterilisation can also help to alleviate the problem of
strays on the streets.
The Halt Animal Abuse Council of
Singapore (HAACS) takes in around
600 unwanted animals each month.
Many of them are found abandoned on
tile streets.
The source of the stray animal
population is attributed by
irresponsible pet owners who
dump their pets on the streets once
they no longer want them. Leaving
animals to fend for themselves puts
them in harm's way - abandoned pets
often-starve, get knocked down by
vehicles, contract diseases or get abused.
