Seeking an Electrical System Studies Engineer for our Boise, Idaho and San Diego,
CA office. This position requires a BSEE (MSEE preferred), professional engineering
registration or the ability to become registered, and strong background in electrical
system studies. The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation of
computer-based models and performing power system studies on utility and
industrial/commercial electrical power transmission and distribution systems,
including: stability (transient & dynamic), long/short range planning studies, short
circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting, power factor, harmonic analysis and
other related studies. Detailed knowledge of power utilization equipment and
application considerations including the various types of switchgear, protective
relays, breakers, transformers, motors, and generators is required. Experience in
protective relaying, grounding, or AC interference analysis is preferred. Strong
conceptualization ability, strong interpersonal communication and organizational
skills are a must, including the capability to explain complex technical issues to
decision-makers and project teams. Candidate must have good oral and written
communication skills, be willing to travel, and work successfully in a customer
focused, project oriented environment. This position will be located in Boise, ID.

ID office. A Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering is required and an EIT/FE
certificate is preferred. Applicant must have strong knowledge and understanding of

This entry level position entails performing detail design of low to extra high voltage
substations and switchyards. Typical designs would include one-line diagrams,
protection and control schematic development, wiring diagrams, SCADA,
communications, substation physical layouts, conduit and cable sizing/routing,
grounding and material specification. Applicant will be pro-actively utilizing design
specific reference materials, recognize tasks to be accomplished, communicating

skills. Job will include detailed design of generating plants under the supervision of a
lead electrical engineer. Typical tasks include one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams,
conduit and cable sizing/routing/schedules, equipment layout, selection of
equipment, writing of specifications, construction cost estimates, and bid
evaluations.

Hailey
Seeking an entry level or junior level Electrical Engineer to work in our Hailey, Idaho
office. The successful candidate will work in our Energy Division, learning to design
High Voltage and Extra High Voltage underground transmission lines and their
related facilities. BSEE is required (minimum 2.7 GPA). A degree from an accredited
University with a Power option would be a plus. The ideal coursework includes
power system analysis and a class in electric and magnetic fields. Position will
include cost estimating, load analysis, circuit routing, drawing production, sizing of
conductor, structure layout, development of design criteria and development of
specifications. Some practical construction, designing, drafting, or engineering work
experience is desirable (may have been on a co-op or intern basis). Prior experience
in utility overhead or underground design would be a huge plus. EIT registration is
preferred. The ideal candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the
