The World Trade Center
The world Trade Center in New York City, Unite States is a very interesting structure.
Design by Architect Yamasaki and build at a cost of more than nine hundred million dollars, it
consist of two tall towers, a plaza below and a vast open space or concourse for shoppers
beneath the plaza. The towers are a quarter of mile in height. About thirty five thousand persons
are employed in the World Trade Center Complex. Employees can eat in about a dozen

restaurants, which save twenty thousand meals a day. They can take public transportation in the
concourse beneath the plaza.
The plaza is huge shopping center as well as a place of relaxation and beauty. It has
large fountain and a huge circle of polished brown granite. In its center is an enormous ball of
bronze.

Nature? There is butterfly that hides by appearing to be a dry leaf. This butterfly

frolicking in the snow without panicking because of their white color. The
opossums way is simply pretending to be dead.

a) There are different kinds of soil. Some are made up of rich black loam, some
are sandy and some are clay. Each of this kind of soil has advantages for the
healthy growth of certain kind of crops.

b) Gilbert dreamed of having bicycle of his own. A day before the fiesta, there
was a Ride-A-Bike Contest. Gilbert joined the contest. He brought home a brand
new bike.

Regular exercise is good for you. Millions of people are getting in shape in different
ways. Joggers are all over parks and streets. More and more people are riding bicycles. Many
parents carry their small babies when they ride or walk. Many companies are encouraging their
employees to exercise. Some companies have built gyms and planned recreational and athletic
activities for their people. People who exercise seem to be happier and do better work.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Read the paragraph below then write each main idea Pick out the nouns and write how

1. Jessie and Sonny found a pool on the farm. It was not deep and the boy swam and
splashed in it happily. That afternoon when they returned to take another swim, they
found four carabaos wallowing there. It was the carabaos cooling off pool.
2. Paul was an orphan. He had been sleeping out-of-doors and he was often hungry. He
decided to knock on the door of the priests room. The priest let him in and he was given
food.
