**Activity Bus: The activity bus departs at 6:30pm -Mondays thru Thursdays for students involved in after school activities.

Healthy Food of the Month: Yellow Squash!


Yellow squash contains both vitamin A & C which aid in normal
vision, healthy skin, healing cuts and keeping teeth and gums healthy.
Home gardeners can also enjoy the edible squash blossoms by removing
the inner parts and using the flower petals which can be added to
salads or stuffed with cheese.

Remember: 5-fruit & Veggies 2-hours or less of screen time 1-hour of physical activity 0-sugar/sweetened drinks

Santa Claus is coming to town.and hes setting up shop at Franklin


County Schools. December 7th-11th students will be able to visit Santas
Workshop to purchase gifts and help support the 4th grade class.
Once all the gifts are wrapped & under the tree, Santa will be available
for pictures on December 15th.

MLK Community Service Project: Each student or classroom is invited to choose a project, completed with
drawings, photos and journals. Please see Allison Chipman in the front office for project forms. Projects will be
judged on: written information, logo design, project name, pictures, neatness, organization, and creativity.

Franklin County Adult School GED Tutoring Classes & Testing Center
GED TUTORING CLASSES have resumed on the Franklin County School Campus on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm in
the elementary multi-purpose building computer lab. For information on tutoring classes contact Nick OGrady at 670-2810, ext. 4110.
If interested in taking the GED Test, go to www.ged.com & register to take the test, choosing the Franklin County site for testing.
You will not be able to take the test on the same day that you register, so register early! The website also contains information on what
is needed to prepare for the test. The testing site is at the Franklin County District Office (old Brown Elementary School).
Testing hours of are: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9:00am to 2:00pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am
10:00pm. For more information call 670-2810 ext. 4127 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
