On the other hand Mr. Rehan could not take decision because he signed up an agreement
where he agreed upon that he will accept any type of posting with out any objection
otherwise he will be terminated from his job. Now he is in a dilemma that he will leave the
job or will go for posting with better position.
He talks with the HRD about his problem. HRD gives him one month to think about this
matter. HRD gives him some option to think about it but if he have to loose his promotion if
he could not go with posting.
Here company wants to motivate employee through giving compensation but may be its
drawback comes negative, because he falls under mental pressure and dilemma instead of
motivation.
We think two types of decision Mr. Rehan can take: One Solution: He can take the promotion but his family may not be happy with that.
Second Solution: He can refuse the promotion and may continue the same job. But
may be he may falls under frustration. Which will brings bad output for the company as
well as for him.
Third Solution: He can switch his job to other company with better salary and
position.
Through this we understand that we can take a horse to the water but we could not force the
horse to drink that water. So we have to motivate our employee based on their needs and
wants.
