Rhino Weekly Newsletter to Parents

Week 5,
Friday 2nd October, 2015
Dear Parents and Carers,
A big thank you to everyone who came to ocean maths! It was fantastic seeing everyone
working together. We are well into the swing of things now in Year 4. In Maths this
week we have been continuing our work on column subtraction and have begun
investigating using inverse operations. In Literacy we have been writing information
reports about the Black rhino.
Year 4 rhino class are very excited about having adopted our very own Black rhino
named Lankeu. This means we are sending funds to help ensure this rhino is getting
adequately fed and being well looked after. The aim of this is to help this critically
endangered species from becoming extinct.
Please make sure your child is reading every night. This is vital for their continued
improvement at school. Please also encourage them to take responsibility for their
belongings.

PE

Your child has PE on Tuesday every week.

Your child should wear their PE kit on this day.

Swimming

Swimming is on Wednesday mornings. Please make sure

your child has the school swimming kit at school on
Wednesday, including goggles, a towel, swimming cap and
swim wear. Please make sure your child is able to change
into this independently.

Please feel free to speak to me about anything; I am available every morning and
afternoon to talk about any concerns or queries you may have.
Kind regards,

Erin Mealey

Homework
