*Ocean Maths*
1st October 2015
Ocean Maths is on Thursday at 9.00am. It is a great opportunity to support your
child's mathematics development. The event will take place in the school hall. It is a
fun morning of activities please join us. More details to follow.

We have been working on number and

place value in maths. To ensure that
the children have a good understanding we are using word problems to
challenge their thinking and to make
them question how and what strategies to use in the problem solving.

In literacy we have started reading

our text. We are exploring the history
of the earth through the book Pebble
in my Pocket. We have used poetry
and art to explore and illustrate the
story. We will delve deeper into the
language and events.
