Greetings!!
My Easter Sunday was clouded by
exhaustion, and I felt down
afterward that I had missed out
on the high point of the Christian
year. But today I sit outside in
Madison, watching the flowers,
trees, and lawns come back to
life, and I thank God for the
reminder of who I was, and what I
am now in Him – a new creation!
Rice’s Main Quad
Fiscal Year 2009-2010
God has given me 56 partners,
who meet about 61% ($1800) of
my monthly need. My prayer for
next year is to reach at least
100%, so I can increase the hours
I spend on campus. As I finish my
first fiscal year on staff (June 30),
please help me meet this goal,
either with an end-year donation
or a monthly commitment. God is
already doing great things at Rice.

A New Chapter Faculty Prayer

ON A PERSONAL NOTE
Alejandro can’t wait to move to
Houston. In fact, he cried all
the way home from the airport after
our recent visit there, because he is
tired of the cold and misses his
cousins. Gabriel is already better at
soccer than his clumsy Dad, so he will
fit in just fine in Houston.
Ruth and I have missed being near family for almost 20 years now,
so we are so thankful to be moving closer to Ruth’s siblings in
Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Laredo. To top it all off, Steve’s
parents will move to Houston this summer to be near the boys!!
