Introduction

1.1 Background
The Bangladesh ICT Sector is booming. We can see the progress all around us.
Computers and smartphones are no longer a luxury but slowly becoming a necessity.
The electronics industry is also booming. Every day, there are thousands of people
going in and out of BCS Center, known as the center of all computers and computer
relevant gadgets in Bangladesh. The cell phone shops in Bashundhara City, Eastern
Plaza etc. are seeing numerous buyers or potential buyers. So, there is no question to
the fact that technology has integrated into our lives in such a way that it has become
indispensable.
The declaration of Vision 2020: Digital Bangladesh has hastened the integration of IT in
everyday life of the people of Bangladesh. But, realistically speaking even though much
progress is being made, digitalization of the whole nation by the year 2020 will still be
hard to achieve. Although, such an initiative is a remarkable feat, the completion of its
objectives truly lie on the hands of the young generation. The people who can continue
the legacy, not just complete the project. When speaking of such people, it is the students
of today who can take the country forward specially in the IT sector. So, its very
important that these students are raised in a digital environment. While digitalization is
necessary, its also important to understand that not every aspect of life can be enjoyed
through digital forms. Misunderstanding the concept of digitalization, students now
believe that libraries are a thing of the past. Such misconceptions are the reason why the
underlying objective of Vision 2020 is being hampered. Books are the richest sources of
knowledge. Knowledge is power. If we can integrate this power into a digital platform,
only then can the students of today emerge as the leaders of the digital Bangladesh we
aspire to see.

1.2 OBJECTIVE

The objective of our project is to merge the immense advantages of the library into one
simple digital app. By creating such an app, we can give the students all the privileges of
libraries minus the regular hassles of library management.

1.3 SCOPE

The scope of this app is mainly restricted to the people of Bangladesh. This app will
cater to both students and library authorities. The app will be represented as an easily
accessible and simple app to be used by students all over the country.

2.Workplan

The first step is to conduct a thorough and rigorous market analysis. Market
analysis includes competitor analysis and segmentation.
Market analysis will be followed by a thorough analysis of our TG
Then we will start developing the app. Firstly, we will have to collect a huge
amount of data that will require a significant amount of time.
Next we will move on to system configuration where all the technical works will
be handled.
After that we will do the designing, that is, creating the visual interfaces of the
app.

The last three of these phases will overlap each other. Throughout these phases, we
will be continuously keep on collecting data.
Once the app is developed we will start testing the app for bugs and glitches. The
developers will look for these in the alpha test.

Then, we will distribute the app to our sample TG and will be collecting
feedbacks from them. This is known as the beta testing phase.

Once we fix the issues learned from the collected feedbacks, we will officially
launch the app.
While we will conduct all these activities, we will be preparing our website.

Once we have officially launched the app, we will be strongly focusing on the
SEO. SEO is a continuous process.

After the launch, we will be focusing on post launch marketing strategies. We

will communicate with the app review sites to include us in their review system.

We would be uploading promotional content on our social media pages.

We will also be building strategic alliances with different institutions and authors.

3. Target Market

The marketing strategies of the app will be concentrated on a focused target group
instead of the entire potential market. This focus will give us a better success at turning
the reach into acquisitions and hence driving revenue.

The target market of the app includes younger demographics specifically 17-25, living
in Dhaka city.

This segment tends to be university students in the society. They have considerable
interest for books and are quick tech adapters. They require books for many different
reasons but for a temporary basis in most cases.

The targeted group will also be based on the following psychographic characteristics.
First of all, they need to have keen interest for books.

Secondly, people looking for convenience. The work of the app can be done by
surveying major libraries in Dhaka city and its universities. However, that process is
strenuous, tiring and time consuming. Hence students looking for convenience and time
constrained due to work/study matters would be targeted.
