If you had a pen pal that lived in
Africa who wanted to know about
America, what American symbols
would you tell her about to help her
understand your country?
The student will navigate to the
Symbaloo Kinder American
Symbols Webmix to view and
choose resources to create a
presentation on. The student will
then navigate to VoiceThread to
contribute to the class-created
presentation. The student will create
an informational slide on the African
American that they chose. The slide
will include a picture of the
American symbol selected, an
explanation of the meaning of the
symbol, and any other important
information about the symbol that
the student wants to include.
VoiceThread allows the use of
pictures, photos, audio messages, or
text messages to present with. It
also allows students to interact with
students from other schools by way
of audio and/or messaging
