Background of the Study
Usage of smartphone has proven that new media has positively change the way the community react
towards information
Smartphone usage create awareness to communities of Raipur
Smartphones application as an enhancer for new ways of community socialising
Community has used smartphone on getting updated with information and issues
Public Child Welfare protection and care is an alarming issues communicated through social media
Issues on Public Child Welfare on protection and care became the important topic shared by public in social
media

Problem Statement
The usage of smartphone software applications has changed the way communities in Raipur socialised
Diversity of information changed the way community share information and react
How smartphone usage create awareness on the Public Children Welfare
Average price of mobile device among user who access Internet using mobile devices is Rs. 8,250.
(Mobile Internet in India December 2012 fromIAMAI)
Users spend an average of Rs 198 per month on mobile internet usage which accounts to 40% of the total
mobile bill (Rs 460)(Mobile Internet in India December 2012 fromIAMAI)
87.1 million mobile internet users accessed Internet on their devices every month (Dec 2012)
Email and social networking are the popular apps on an internet ready mobile phone in India.
While online games are accessed by nearly 50% of the Mobile Internet users, less than 30% of users read
online news and watch online videos.

Research Questions
What is the awareness in Raipur community on public child welfare safety and care through the use of
smartphone.
What reaction and action taken by the raipur communities based on the information shared on public child
welfare protection and care.
How deep the public understand the importance of a children safety created by the new media ?

Social networking applications on smartphones: A software that can be installed in smartphones and is
used for socialising purposes. Facebook,Twitter and Whatsapp
Public Child Welfare: Communities should understand that they are all responsible towards the protection
and care of the public child welfare if there come across any danger.

Chhattisgarh Govt. App - CG JanSampark


The Chhattisgarh state has launched a mobile app Chhattisgarh Jansampark intended to provide governmentheaded news and information to the people.
The official application launched by the chief minister and minister-incharge for Information Technology Raman
Singh will furnish the reports and information related to the important day-to-day activities of the state
government, its various policies, schemes, decisions along with the photos and video footages.
In todays digital world, the use of mobile apps have become more robust. The Chhattisgarh Jansampark app
will communicate updated information about the governments programme, events, declarations, official orders
and the cabinets decisions, the CM said and further added the initiative will strengthen better governance and
greater transparency in administration.
Dr.Raman Singh has launched the Mobile Application and Digital Archive to make the State Government
more convenient to reach to the masses
People can update the knowledge of State Government development programs & policies
