 Problem Statement
• The usage of smartphone software applications has changed the way
community of Hulu Langat socialised
• Diversity of information changed the way community share information and
react
• According to statistics by SKMM (Q2, 2014) Selangor, is the highest user for
broadband, besides Wilayah Persekutuan
• Selangor user of cellular phone is very high, every 100 person there are 154
phones SKMM (Q2, 2014)
• Information from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (2013) Children in Selangor is
the highest in need of protection and care
• Crime rate of children in Selangor is top 3 highest rate in Malaysia (JKM, 2013)
• How smartphone usage create awareness on the Public Children Welfare

1. What is the awareness of Hulu Langat community on public child welfare safety and care through the
use of smartphone.

2. What reaction and action taken by the Hulu Langat community based on the information shared on
public child welfare protection and care.
