The annual Moraga Rotary Demotion dinner was

ably conducted by Past President Rich Render,
who called upon Tony Schoemehl for some
special quotations on the theme of leadership.
Kevin Reneau led in the Royal toast for President
Roger Gregory and a great year of Rotary.
One of the highlights of the enjoyable evening was
a sterling performance by the Moraga Rotary ALittle-Off Broadway Theatrical Troop of an original
production. The cast of thousands included such
stars as Angelo Costanza, Brian South, Gary
Irwin, Michele Robbins, Dianne Wilson, John
Erickson, Mike McCluer, Vickie Devlin & Cliff
Dochterman. By a judicial decision of de judge
our President Roger was cleared of all crimes and
misdemeanors and received the deserved praise of
the entire Club!
President Roger presented recognition pins for
those members who have had 100% attendance at
club meetings. He also reviewed the clubs service
projects and gave each Board member a specially
selected book of appreciation.
President-elect Kevin Reneau reviewed a series
of goals and objectives for the coming year. Finally
the official Presidential pins were exchanged and
President Roger rang the bell as his final act as
leader of Moraga Rotary.

Rotarian of the Year Award

The annual Cliff Dochterman Rotarian of the Year
Award was presented to President Roger Gregory
for the second time in two years. The selection is
made by a vote of all club members.

COLLECTIONS FOR THE TROOPS

LAST CALL
President Roger will take the last of the
collections for our troops to
Assemblywoman
Catharine Bakers office for the boxes being made
by Blue Star Mothers to send to the troops serving
in various posts. Moraga Rotary has provided
several large boxes of items plus $100 for
shipping the care boxes. This has been one more
excellent service project of Moraga Rotarians. We
know that a lot of guys and gals, serving in the
military in remote places, will be very happy to see
and enjoy the gifts!

A FEW LAST WORDS

A business was opening a new store in town.
One of the owners friends sent a huge basket of
flowers for the happy occasion. They arrived at
the new address with a card which said, Rest In
Peace.
The store owner was so angry he called the
Florist to make a vigorous complaint. The
patient Florist listened to the outburst and then
said, Sir I am really sorry for my mistake, but
rather for you getting upset, just imagine this.
Somewhere in town is a funeral taking place
today, and there is a beautiful flower
arrangement
with
a
note
saying:
Congratulations In Your New Location.
