Next week, on Friday 22nd July,

we will break up for the summer
holidays!
Its been a great year, and I would like
to take this opportunity to thank all the
children, families and staff for their
hard-work and continued support. We
are really proud of our school and what
we have achieved this year. I cant wait
to see how children develop and
continue to make progress next year.

of the reports. We now assess children on

whether they have reached Age Related
Expectations (ARE). This means, we look
at whether they have met the expected
level for their age in comparison with the
rest of the country.
If you have any questions about your
childs progress this year or about the new
reports, please speak to your childs
teacher.
SCOOTER WORKSHOP

This time of year is also when we say

goodbye to a number of children and
staff. Yr6 take their first steps into High
School, and our team looses a number
of special colleagues. Miss Garbett, Miss
Hopper, Mr Nazir, Miss McLindon, Miss
Clegg, Mrs Rushworth, Mrs Meer and
Miss Kaur are all leaving us to start new
careers elsewhere. We wish them lots
of luck in their new jobs.

This week, children took part in a scooter

workshop! They had a great time and
learnt lots of new skills. It was a lovely
way to end the year.

From everyone at Bowling Park, good

luck and good bye Y6!
SPORTS DAY
Sports Day was a great success this
year. Thank you to all the children who
took part, and to all the parents who
came to watch!
Children took part in hurdles, javelin,
running and throwing events. The
winners were crowned with special
certificates and medals. Well done to all
the winners.
SPELLING BEE
Our final Spelling Bee competition of
the year saw children face a special
challenge competition, with some of the
hardest words we could think of! The
children did brilliantly and it is clear
that their spellings have improved over
the year. Please remember to keep
practising your spellings (and your
times tables too!) over the summer
holidays.

I hope you have a lovely summer

break. I look forward to seeing you
all on Tuesday 6th September
when we re-open.
EID MUBARAK
Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating last
week. We hope you had a lovely time
with friends and family.
We celebrated in school with Eid parties
on Monday afternoon. The children
came to school in non-uniform and had
party food. Thank you to all the parents
who donated food and drinks, to make
the parties extra special.
REPORTS
Next week you will receive your childs
report for the year. The report explains
how hard your child has worked in
maths, English, science and other
subjects. We are very proud of all our
children, and hope you enjoy reading
the reports as much as we enjoyed
writing them!

ROOF REPAIRS
LEAVERS PERFORMANCE
On Wednesday, we will say our final good
bye to our brilliant Y6 children in a special
leavers assembly.
They have had a wonderful year, filled
with lots of memories, great triumphs and
fantastic progress! We will be very sad to
see them go, but we know they will be
lovely Y7 children at High School.

Yr6 parents are invited to attend the

assembly, which is on Wednesday at NCS
This year we have changed the wording and Thursday at US.

Please note that over the summer

holidays, our NCS site will be having
extensive roof repairs.
Have a lovely final week at school.
Remember, we break up on 22nd
July and return to school on
Tuesday 6th September.
