    In 1973, Bombardier Transportation built 423 MR-73 cars as per contract with the
    predecessor of STM, Commission de transport de la Communaut urbaine de
    Montral (CTCUM). These cars were manufactured from 1974 until 1980 and were first used for
    transport in 1976. It has a growling sound while it exits the station. The last refurbishment was
    done to increase car capacity and installation of new poles for decreasing motion sickness
    amongst commuters and promotion of aesthetic harmony.
