PROCEDURE / METHOD TO BE EMPLOYED:

8.1Material delivery at site

All the material should be inspected for damage and test certificates should accompany
each delivery. All materials should be kept / stack in proper manner to avoid any
distortion / damage.

8.2 Preparation of substrate


8.3.1 Upon Commence of the waterproofing works, the completion of MEP services
works shall be check for conditions of surface.
8.3.2 Ensure that dust, dirt and foreign matter are brushed away. Remove oil; mask off
the areas not to be covered.

8.3Waterproofing Works
7.1 Joints Substrate shall be prepared in a manner which is acceptable for the application of
waterproofing material. Shall be free from any construction debris, dust/dirt, grease,
oil
or any kind of undulation and/or protrusion.
7.2 Apply primer to substrate. Primer application shall be in accordance with the material
manufacturer instructions .
7.3 When the primer is completely dry, apply First Coat of approved waterproofing material
for both horizontal and vertical areas .
7.4 Apply Second Coat of approved waterproofing material when the First Coat is completely
dry.
7.5 If the Second Coat is completely, prepare the waterproofed area for water test.
7.6 Put water to the entire horizontal area (approx.50 mm depth) and keep for a minimum
Period of 24 hours. Check the lower floor slab free of dampness & leak.
9.0 TRAINING
All personnel will be trained, prior to start of works related HSE / Quality Control / Method
statement.
10.0 WORKING HOURS
Normal working hours for site as 07:00 hrs 17:00 hrs. However, work can be extended as per
site requirement.
