The 3D macular scan revealed alterations in the right eye including an obliterated foveal pit, cystoid edema, hard exudates, and an epiretinal membrane causing macular traction. The left eye showed a normal foveal contour and retinal configuration. The impression was diabetic macular edema with an epiretinal membrane in the right eye.

:3D macular scan and radial report of both eyes revealed
Right: Altered foveal contour with obliterated foveal pit. Central macular thickness is 245 m (within normal limits as compred with age-matched normative data), with nasal parafoveal retinal thickening. Evidence of hyper-reflective intra-retinal bodies at outer retinal layers indicating hard exudates. Rounded intra-retinal spaces with clear contents and smooth walls (cystoid edema). Evidence of spongy retinal edema. Evidence of sub-foveal fragmentation of IS/OS junction line (guarded visual prognosis). The RPE showed occasional hyperplasia Evidence of thick hyper-relective epi-retinal membrane causing tangential and antero-posterior macular traction. Left: Normal foveal contour. Central macular thickness is 223 m (within normal limits as compred with age-matched normative data), with infero-temporal borderline retinal thinning. Normal RPE-choriocapillaries complex. Evidence of neither PVD nor vitreo-macular traction.

Left: within normal retinal configuration. Best regards
