I am writing to recommend Kendra Haid for an elementary teaching position. Mrs. Haid has worked as a third
grade teacher at Clinton Prairie since August 2007. I began working with Mrs. Haid during the 2012-2013
school year when I joined the administrative team.
By observing and collaborating with Mrs. Haid, it is evident that she genuinely cares for the students and puts
them first. Through her extensive knowledge and practical application of current teaching methodologies such
as Daily 5, CAF Menu, Guiding Reading, and many other methodologies, her students have excelled in
literacy. Many of her other professional development seminars and workshops, have allowed her to push her
students in writing, math, science, and social studies.
Mrs. Haids collaboration with her grade-level teachers, Title I staff, and the special education department
permit her to meet the needs of every student in her class and push them to excellence. As a testament to her
work and focus on literacy, every student in her class this year passed the IREAD-3 state assessment. The
growth of student Lexile scores and DIBELS scores is also evidence to the success that she shares with her
students.
Kendra Haid is someone that is dependable and can be counted on. She would bring great leadership,
dedication, and a commitment to students, as well as, to the staff. I would recommend her for a position within
