I have been Katies professor, advisor, and University Supervisor during her tenure in the
Middle Level Teacher Preparation Program at Radford University. Katie did her early
field experience in a seventh grade science classroom at Dublin Middle School, Dublin,
VA. She is doing her student teaching in an eighth grade classroom in Dublin, VA.
Katie is well aware of the unique developmental characteristics of middle school students
and develops her lesson plans accordingly. She is also aware of the great variety of
learning styles and incorporates many different methods and strategies into her own
teaching style to provide the opportunity for all students to be successful.
Katie will be an asset to any school system for which she is hired, not only to her peers
and colleagues, but more importantly to the students with whom she will be working.
