I am applying to be a summer intern or volunteer at the NIH studying topics in molecular

biology and Biomedical research and I came by the details of your labs research and purpose. I
have read your publications and have become captivated by the type of research involved at your
lab and I would be keen on assisting to your research in any way possible.
I am a fervent hard-worker who harbors a strong enthusiasm for biological science and if
given the opportunity to intern at your lab, I can supplement my knowledge and abilities in the
research field and in the biological sciences. I have always found my science classes very
rewarding, especially biological science, and this internship would be a great way for me to
immerse myself in biological research.
As a particularly gritty and diligent individual, I will put in my full efforts and devote
myself to my work. I do not back down from any challenge and will work tirelessly to solve any
problem, as I do enjoy a good challenge. I understand the importance of research and the vast
impact that it can have on the world, therefore I would value the opportunity to partake in your
research. This opportunity will enhance my abilities and knowledge in the field of science and
