Inequality between Rich and Poor

Inequality of people in the society is a common thing and is of many kind. Inequality between
the rich and the poor is one. They are different from each other in terms of money and wealth. The
rich almost has everything compared to the poor which barely has something. The rich is all powerful
and influential while the poor is the mute follower. The rich is favoured by the society and the poor
receive accusing and judgemental eyes. This situation happened then, and this happens now.
Rich and poor are two different classes in the society and are unequal. The rich can have
whatever money can buy whilst the poor cannot. Why? Because they have the paper and the coins.
Money, in order to live nowadays is almost as essential as the oxygen and the water. Even oxygen
needs to be paid in hospitals, and you pay the bills for water, or have nothing. In order to have
something, the latter must work, shed sweat, go through hardships to sustain their needs. On the
other hand, while the rich savour all the goodness this world offers, the poor experiences real life.
They have experienced more, known not only the goods but also the cruelty this world gives, which
most of the rich people failed to feel and see, clouded by their comforts and pleasures.
Another reason why rich and poor can never be equal is that the rich has the power and
influence and the poor is the one who follows and be influenced. This inequality already exist since
men knew how to rule. If youve got the wealth, youre the boss, people follow you, work for you, and
serve you. And who are these people? The poor. Whilst the rich is busy lording, the poor is aiding all
the lords needs. One might say that even the rich cannot survive without the poor serving him, but its
also the other way around. No work for the poor means no money and foods and clothes and shelter.
But needing each other to survive is far from equality.
Rich and poor are not equal because the society said so. Go in a hotel or restaurant and wear
branded clothes and jewelleries and the crews will treat you so nicely, hear very sweet courtesies it
would irritate you and put you first in line. Now go back with those simple jeans and t-shirt and people
inside would mistake you as one of the workers there. Anyone could go and scream that people
should be treated nicely regardless of their socio-economic status or tell all that everyone is equal in
the eyes of the Father or talk about morals, they would listen but they wouldnt do it, maybe some
would, but whats some against so many?
The rich and the poor can never be equal and it has been decided long before we were born
and our mothers and fathers and our grandmothers and grandfathers. They have different places and
roles in the society which are unequal when compared. No matter what we do, we cannot bring the
one down and the other one up for them to be balanced, though one can strive hard to be like the
other. Its just a matter of acceptance, knowing your place and respect.
