Record of Daily Tasks

June 27: I was assigned to read the companys Code of Ethics and the teams Transaction Processing
documents on my first day, while I also came to know the gist what the team actually does on a daily
basis. I learned that adjusting to that particular new environment wont be so hard, since everyone seemed
friendly and easy-going.
June 28: One of my teammates, Miss Cath Bonto, trained me regarding the teams process on collection
of notices. It was hard at first, since I was not familiar with the systems they use. I learned that patience is
important if I want to survive in the corporate world.
June 29: Also one of my teammates, Sir Khier Ediza, trained me regarding the use of Bloomberg and its
basics. I learned that every person has their own ways of how they teach things.
June 30: My immediate supervisor, Sir Bryan Molina, trained me regarding the process on posting
Deliver Long and Add Long transactions. After that, I was tasked to post the remaining transactions
manually on the teams Manulife Staging system. I learned that in some ways, practice is the key to
perfection.
July 04: I had to do things on my own this day. I was assigned to compile a master-list of every single
transaction the team had posted for the months of May and June. I compiled them on Excel, together with
the transactions e-mail subject, sender, the time it was received, and the time it was posted. I learned that
working on your own means that you have to deal with your weaknesses on your own, too.
July 05: I continued the master-list I was doing yesterday, and then I proceeded to keep track if those
transactions have documentations or not. I had to take note of those that do not have any process manuals,
because those were going to be of use as references for the team. I learned that there were many
transactions that do not have any documentation, so those were what I can help the team with.
July 06: This time, Miss Bernie Velasco, also one of my teammates, trained me regarding the teams
different ways on posting transactions in Portia. I had to take notes since there was too much information
but nonetheless, it was fun. I learned that being knowledgeable in terms of Microsoft Word and Excel can
be an advantage in the future.
July 07: We continued the training yesterday and this time, I was training with a new employee of the
team, Sir Al Co. I learned that some things should not be rushed.
July 08: I posted transactions on Manulife Staging the whole day since its part of my training. I was also
asked to read the powerpoint file about BPMN since I will be trained on how to do it the next day. I
learned that reading is the exercise for the mind.
July 11: I was trained regarding BPMN Procedures by Sir Ben since I was told that it was what I will be
going to do for almost half of my OJT. I learned that I am also capable to help on my own ways, and
knowing that made me feel great.
July 12: I did the BPMN FX transactions procedures (F) and I consulted Sir Ben about it. I received my
workday ID today, too. I learned that it is fun and challenging at first.

July 13: I took the Compliance Training Quiz and finished six BPMN Procedures. I also revised what Sir
Ben thought were not complete yet. I learned that asking for advise from the senior members is a good
thing.
July 14: I continued to work on the remaining BPMN procedures. I learned that the feeling I get every
time I get a task done is worthwhile.
July 15: I asked Sir Ben for the final revising of all the BPMN procedures I did. Also, our practicum
adviser paid us a visit this day. I had a lunch-out with whole team for the first time. I learned that
spending time with the people I will be working with for the next days is enjoyable.
July 18 and July 19: It was the New Hire Orientation and it was held for two days. I was able to meet
new people and was able to learn more about the companys history and operations. I learned that every
person has their own story to tell.
July 20: The BPMN Procedures were checked by Sir Bryan Molina today, and I revised the things he
asked me to. I learned that being proud of the work you spent time and sweat for is not a bad thing.
July 21 and 22: At the end, the BPMN Procedures were then again checked by Sir Ben and I followed all
the instructions he gave me. I learned that I am going to miss doing BPMN procedures, since I got
attached to it.
July 25: The BPMN procedures were then sent to the head of the department for checking. I had lechon
lunch with my co-interns today. I learned that the people I work with are really outgoing and are easy to
talk to.
July 26: I was trained regarding HK IO transactions by Sir Khier Ediza. I then proceeded to do a
documentation about it. I learned that the things I am not familiar with are difficult to handle.
July 27: I was trained regarding Malaysia Management Fees transactions by Miss Lovelyn Valdez this
time. I also did a documentation about it. I was also trained regarding HSBC FX-Overlay Report
Singapore transaction by Sir Al Co. I did a documentation about it, too. Then, I checked the Overtime
Reports of the members of our team. I learned that working can be exhausting.
July 28: Miss Shynne Concepcion trained me regarding CITIFX AM/NBL. I did a documentation about
it. Then, the Finance and Investments event were held. I spent time eating with the whole department and
I got to know more about them. I learned that there are ways the company shows how thankful it is for its
employees.
July 29: I continued working with the documentation of CITIFX AM/NBL. In the afternoon, the team
went to U.P. Town Center to eat at Silantro. I learned that eating is a good way to unwind after a tiring
week.
August 01: I was trained regarding CITIFX PM by Sir Al Co. I also did a documentation about it. I
learned that I am getting used to these things and my hard work is paying off.
August 02: I did a BPMN process flow for Cash Dividend. I learned that there are times that work can be
boring.

August 03: I was trained regarding Singapore TP by Sir Khier Ediza. I also did a documentation about it.
I also revised the CITI FX AM documentation. I learned that these are the people I can look up to and I
can depend on them.
August 04: I added screenshots on CITI FX AM documentation. Miss Lovelyn Valdez thought me how to
use GPAO today. I learned that GPAO is a complicated system.
August 05: I re-checked all the documentations I did so far and revised them. The team went to SM
North Edsa to eat at Burgoo and Starbucks as part of the despedida party for Miss Cath Bonto. I learned
that part of life is accepting that fact that people may come and go.
August 08: I revised the re-opening of books documentation. I was also trained regarding SWAP by Miss
Bernie Velasco. I learned that mistakes can be a good teacher, too.
August 09: I consolidated the entire TP list and all the ASIA reports. I was also trained regarding
Monthly Dividend Payout distribution by Sir Khier Ediza. I learned that I am blessed to be a part of the
team that really makes you feel like you are a part of them.
August 11: I re-checked the entire TP list and added the usual senders of the e-mails per transaction. I
learned that I got so used to this routine to the point that I thought of applying at this company in the near
future.
August 12: I re-checked the files of all the ASIA reports and had lunch with all the MAM teams. I
learned that I got so attached to each and every one of them and since I am almost done with my
internship, I can say I will surely miss them.
August 13: I counted and plotted all the Cash Dividend and Splits reports posted by the team for the
month of July. I learned that this work can be so tiring for the eyes and I should take care of my vision
well.
August 14: I was trained regarding Monthly Payout Distribution by Sir Khier Ediza. I learned that he has
taught me a lot of things and I should be thanking him.
August 15: I consolidated all the transactions in each of the countries in ASIA as part of the last task I
was assigned to do. I learned that letting go is a baby-step process to me, and this whole record of daily
tasks will not do any justice as to how I really felt while working in this company. I am going to miss the
team and the place I spent almost two months at. I feel blessed.
