Personal essay - write an essay about yourself including your interests and hobbies, the
reason why you took this course, and how you see yourself after 5 years
I'll introduce myself as Sherinah Mae P. Abarilles. I enjoy singing, playing the guitar, and
reading. I currently participate in our weekly fellowship as one of the young leaders from
Living Hope Philippines. This serves as the foundation for who I am now. I'm simply an
average student in school aspiring to become a CPA in the future.

I was motivated to apply in this course because of my mother. She chose the accountancy
program as a pre-law course since she wants to be a lawyer, but regrettably she stopped
in her final year so that I could be born into this world. She is my inspiration, and I intend
to finish the task she started. Aside from that, I was also interested in marketing, business
planning, and bookkeeping. Hence, making all of my goals and these choices is
enjoyable.

I think after five years, I will be the first accountant of the family and be a CPA in
making. On the other side, I could choose to pursue a career as a teacher. One of the
people who inspired me to become a teacher was my mentor, who later rose to the
position of principal. I became interested in tutoring kids as well. Making research or
doing freelance work in the future.

2. What do you expect to learn from this subject?

The toughest is what I anticipate from this subject at first. As the name suggests, it talks
about laws and how we have a legal and rational perspective in all of situations. Although
I've never studied a subject like this, I've heard that memorizing is constantly required.
This will put my abilities as a student to the test. In order to quickly adjust to the topic, I
should also change and control more of my habits. I'm hoping that our professor will give
us the best strategy for learning and getting the information we need to know about this
subject.

3. What are your obligations?

The definition of an obligation is something that someone is required to do. My duty as
the youngest child is to support and help my parents while they are still there. Our own
blood and the love we have for one another bind us together. On the other hand, I'm a
student who's obligated to turn in my homework on time each day. Attending the class
regularly was also part of it. The ones I've mentioned were my top priorities among all of
my obligations.

4. What are the contracts you have already entered into?

I participated in the contracts as my father's authorized representative. I am the youngest
and the only one they can count on. I've been signing a lot every time there's a DSWD
cash assistance comes. It's difficult at first, in my experience. There are a lot of
requirements that need to be passed on, so you must go back and forth before you see the
end of it.
