HAJJ WHAT TO DO AND SAY WHEN

7th Dhul-Hijjah (Friday, 9th Sep 2016)

1.! Put on Ihram at home in KAUST.
2.! Make Niyyah (according to your type of Hajj).
a.! Labbaik Allahumma bi Umrah Here I am O Allah for
Umrah (Tamattu).
b.! Labbaik Allahumma bi Hajj wa Umrah Here I am O
Allah for Hajj and Umrah (Qiran).
c.! Labbaik Allahumma bi Hajj (Ifraad).
d.! Allahumma mahallee haithu Habastanee O Allah, my
place is wherever you prevent me.
e.! Allahumma hadhihi Hajj, Laa Riyaa feehaa wa Laa
Sumah O Allah, this is a Hajj, there is no ostentation
(showing off) in it nor hypocrisy.
f.! Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika laa shareeka
laka Labbaik. Inna al-Humda wa al-neimata laka wa
al-mulk. Laa shareeka lak Here I am O Allah, here I
am, there is no partner for You, here I am,. Verily all
praise is for you, and every bounty is from You, and all
dominion is Yours You have no partner.
g.! Labbaik Ilaaha al-Haqq. Labbaika dha al-Maarij,
Labbaika dha al-Fawaadhil Here I am, O Owner of
Ways of Ascent, Here I am, O Owner of Excellence.
3.! Go to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam and do Umrah (Tawaaf, 2 raka
and Saee if Tamattu/Qiran, Tawaaf only for Ifrad).
4.! Shave/Trim hair & come out of Ihraam (Tamattu only).

8th Dhul-Hijjah (Saturday, 10th Sep 16)Yaum alTarwiyah

Pray Fajr and put on Ihram (if Tamattu).

Proceed to Mina before Zuhr (if not already there).
Stay in Mina, shorten Zuhr, Asr and Isha to 2 raka.
Remember to do the Talbiyyah constantly.
Spend the night in Mina.

9th Dhul-Hijjah (Sunday, 11th Sep 2016) Yaum al-Arafah

1.! Pray Fajr in Mina and proceed to Arafat after sunrise.
2.! Listen to the Khutba and Pray Zuhr & Asr combined at Zuhr
time, 2 raka each with 1 Adhaan and 2 Iqamahs.
3.! Stand in Arafah and make lots of tahleel (La Ilaaha
IllaAllah), takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and dua till Maghrib.
4.! The best dua is La Ilaaha IllaAllahu wahdahu la shareeka
lahu, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-humdu wa hua alaa kulli
shyin Qadeer.
5.! Do not pray Maghrib in Arafah and proceed to Muzdalifah
after sunset.
6.! Reach Muzdalifah and then pray Maghrib and Isha (2 raka)
there with 1 Adhaan and 2 Iqamahs.
7.! Sleep the night in Muzdalifah.

10th Dhul-Hijjah (Monday, 12th Sep 2016) Yaum al-Nahr

1.! Pray Fajr in Muzdalifah and stand there making dua till the
sky turns white before sunrise.
2.! Just before sunrise, start going to the Jamaraat (Mina)
3.! Stone the Jamarat al-Aqba (the one closest to Makkah) with
7 stones.
4.! Slaughter an animal (if Tamattu/Qiran).
5.! Shave or Trim your hair shaving is better.
6.! Now you are out of Ihram, except sexual relationship.
7.! Go to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam and perform Tawaaf al-Ifaadah,
2 raka (Maqaam Ibrahim).
8.! After Tawaaf al-Ifaadah, you are completely out of Ihraam.
9.! Do another Saee if Tamattu.
10.! Return to Mina and spend the night there.

Remember: Two conditions for an act to be accepted

1. Make your intention pure for Allahs sake
2. Do the act in accordance to the Prophets Sunnah

11th Dhul-Hijjah (Tuesday, 13th Sep 2016)

1.! Stone all 3 Jamaraat after Zuhr and preferably before

Maghrib.
2.! After stoning the 1st and 2nd Jamarah, move ahead a little,
stand facing the Qibla and make long dua.
3.! Spend the night in Mina.
4.! Remember Allah much.
12th or 13th DhulHijjah

12 Dhul-Hijjah (Wednesday, 14 Sep 2016)

Al-Masjid Al-Haraam 10th DhulHijjah

8th DhulHijjah

1.! Stone all 3 Jamaraat after Zuhr and preferably before

Maghrib.
2.! After stoning the 1st and 2nd Jamarah, move ahead a little,
stand facing the Qibla and make long dua.
3.! Spend the night in Mina.
4.! Remember Allah much.
5.! If you want to leave, you must finish stoning and leave Mina
before Maghrib.

10th DhulHijjah

MINA

13th Dhul-Hijjah (Thursday, 15th Sep 2016)

1.! Stone all 3 Jamaraat after Zuhr and preferably before
Maghrib.
2.! After stoning the 1st and 2nd Jamarah, move ahead a little,
stand facing the Qibla and make long dua.
3.! Go to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam and perform Tawaaf al-Wada
(Farewell Tawaaf).
4.! Leave for home (KAUST) the same day. Tawaaf al-Wada
must be done on the day you leave Makkah for home.
