Subject: FIR copy and follow up of theft reported on 20.09.2016.
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is regarding the burglary that occurred yesterday, 20 th Sept. 2016, between
2:30pm-3:30pm at House No. 73, room No. 11, Gali No. 2, Krishna Nagar, Safdarjung
Enclave. Immediately after discovering the door unlocked and theft of valuable
items (2 guitars costing Rs. 1.2 lac and Rs.20,000/- respectively, and a filled gas
cylinder) a distress call was made to the Special Helpline for North East at 1093
after which they sent 2 policemen around 3:40pm and an FIR was hand written after
repeated enquiries regarding the sequence of the event.
A CCTV camera was found installed in the opposite building. However, the house
owners were out and they couldnt retrieve the video footage. One of the police
personnel came after an hour and gave a pendrive to the owners for transferring
the video files. He took the FIR form and said that we will be getting the copy
tomorrow i.e., 21st Sept. 2016. However, till now, we havent heard anything from
the Safdarjung police station nor have they come and enquire or collect the video
footage.
In the meantime, a team of Special Task Force came around 6pm and also took a
copy of the footage. The detailed event of the theft can be seen clearly in the video.
Sir, we are not prioritizing the matter of retrieving the lost items but above all, our
safety. Since the robbery occurred in broad daylight and with the utmost confidence,
we fear for our safety as such incidences can reoccur again.
Kindly look into this matter, though we understand you have a lot in your hands. We
would be very grateful for your kind help rendered and wait with assured hope that
you would keep our safety as a top priority. We believe in you.
