INVESTIGATION REPORT ON THEFT ATTEMPT

This is with regards to the theft attempt of plastic barrels from the scrap yard post at Revocoat
India private limited, Thirubuvanai at around 0400 hrs on 16/01/2023

We have conducted an investigation into the above issue, wherein all the security personnel
deployed at the site were inquired and we have come to know that Mr.Rajaraman has tried to
steal barrels that has belonged to the company during his night duty on 15/01/2023.
After having thoroughly examined the security guard, the sequence of the incident emerged
from our enquiry and as per his statements are as under:

i) On 16th Jan 2023, security supervisor Mr Gnanamoorthy has called G4S operation
officer Mr. Dhandapani at about 0630 AM and stated that there was an attempt of
stealing barrels from the office premises and the barrels were retrieved safely
ii) Mr Dhandapani has further investigated the incident and supervisor has stated that
Mr. Manikandan who has posted in scrap yard had come to main gate for a walk
about 0400 AM and when he walked back to his post at about 0420 Hrs, he heard
unusual sound and movements behind the compound wall near scrap yard post. He
urged himself to the terrace to get full view of scrap yard and behind the compound
wall, he noticed 2 unknown persons had carrying the barrels.
iii) Immediately when Mr.Manikandan noticed people movement near the compound
and had alerted main gate supervisor Mr.Gnanamoorthy as such supervisor had
tried to surround the people by reaching to the main road. As soon as people
noticed the supervisor they have dropped the barrel and run away in their own
vehicle numbered.
iv) Further this incident was reported to Mr.Rajesh -Admin by Mr. Dhandapani at about
0630 AM in detail over the phone. Mr.Rajesh has examined the CCTV footage and
claimed that security guard Mr. Rajaraman who was posted at scrap yard 2 has
thrown barrels over the compound wall at around 0420 AM

Findings

Further to the investigation enquiry made with Mr.Rajaraman, he has revealed that discussion
was made a day prior with his previous work colleague named Murugan and Sakthivel over the
phone to hide behind the compound wall near scrap yard so that once barrels were thrown
and plan was to carry the barrels using their own vehicle.
i) Mr. Rajaram has observed the other security person patrolling time for about a
week and has preplanned for this activity in alliance with Murugan and Sakthivel,
they have planned to steal barrels on 16/01/2023 early morning as it was a festival
holiday and knowingly other security person will be on patrol during that time
ii) As Mr. Rajaram was aware of CCTV, he kept few obstacles to hide the complete
vision of CCTV to perform the above mentioned activity of throwing barrels over the
compound.
iii) Further to the investigation, Mr. Rajaraman has admitted that he assisted to steal
barrels from the company since both Murugan and Sakthivel are colleague from his
previous work(Building construction) .

Conclusion

Having thoroughly examined and taken into consideration of the fact brought out above, we
are of the following views:

i) Murugan and Sakthivel has tempted Mr. Rajaraman to steal the barrels and
can earn money by renting out barrels for building construction related
works.
ii) We have tried to get more details about Murugan and Sakthivel, but
Mr.Rajaman has deleted the contact details from his mobile phone as he was
panic about the incident

This kind of act is unwarranted and a breach of trust. Therefore he has found guilty in this case
and hence a severe disciplinary action is being initiated against him.

G4S Operation team will take corrective action to ensure that such incident does not repeat in
future and all the security personnel have been briefed not to involve in such activities.

Corrective Action Plan

To ensure that such incident does not repeat in future the following action plan will be initiated

from our end to meet your requirements.

1. Necessary briefing will be given to the security personnel by our operational team to

avoid such instances in future.

2. Necessary briefing have been made to the shift supervisor to patrol the premises frequently
3. Surprise checks will be carried out by the managerial level at regular intervals.

4. We will also intensify the night checks during odd hours by the operational team at

regular intervals.

5.Rewards and recognitions scheme will be introduced for the top performers.

6. Security personnel will be revamped on yearly basis.
