Step 1 in creating your Master Academic Plan is to identify your career goal.

If you already have a career goal, the assessments in Career Cruising will let you know if your career choice
matches your interests and skills. Career Cruising also will help you to learn more about your chosen career.
If you don't have a career goal, the activities in career cruising will help you identify one.

1- Go to Career Cruising: http://careercruising.com


2- On the Career Cruising homepage enter the following username and password:
a. Username: buckscc
b. Password: newtown
Every time you log in to Career Cruising, you will
use this username and password.
3- On the Welcome Page to Career Cruising, click on the arrow next to Log in to My Plan, which is on the
top left-hand corner of the page.
4- Click on Create My Plan
a. Fill in your personal information
b. Use your Bucks email as you Login name: ___________________
c. Use your Bucks email password as your Password: ___________________
After you log in to Career Cruising, you will use this login name and password to access your
personal account.

5- Click on Assessments
a. Click on Matchmaker and My Skills
b. In the Matchmaker Label Box put todays date.
c. Take the Career Matchmaker.

6- Complete the 39 questions for Career Matchmaker.


7- When you finish the first set of questions, select Answer more questions, which will appear on the lower
left-hand side of the page, to refine your research. Do all of the questions.
8- Under Assessment, click on Start as you My Skills and answer all of the questions.

9- List your Career Cluster Recommendations:

10- Choose the top 2 careers that match with your skills or other careers that appeal to you. Use these 2
career choices for the Career Chart on the next page.

11- Gather information on the 2 careers you listed on the Career Chart. Select the Career Tab. Enter the
job title. Then use At a Glance to obtain the information needed to complete the Career Chart.

12- Based on the information you have gathered, complete the Career Section of your MASTER PLAN.
If you are still undecided on a career, select a possible career cluster to place in your Master Plan and
make an appointment to go to the Career Center.
