CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:
PROCEDURE:
Measurement of Input impedance & Output impedance
1. Connect a Resistor RA=47K as shown in the below Fig.1. Now
set input signal of 40mv PP and 1 KHz.
2. Now measure the voltages VA and VB.

3. Calculate the input resistance using the expression

Ri

VB RA
VA VB

4. Now make RA =0 i.e., RA is shorted.

5. Measure the output voltage across RL which is V01.
6. Now make RL = i.e., RL is opened.
7. Measure the output voltage which is V02.
8. Calculate the output resistance using the expression

Ro RL 02 1
V01

Frequency Response
1. Wire the circuit as shown in Fig.2
2. Connect the input to the CH-1 of DSO and set the input voltage
to 40mv peak to peak and the frequency to 100 Hz.
3. Connect the output to CH-2 of DSO and measure the peak to
peak output voltage.
4. Vary the input frequency
from 100Hz to 1kHz in steps of 100Hz, 2KHz to 10KHz insteps of
2 KHz, 20KHz to 100KHz in steps of 20KHz, 200KHz to 1MHz in
steps of 200KHz and measure the corresponding output voltages
and tabulate them in the below tabular form.
5. Plot the frequency response of the amplifer, f versus gain in dB.
From the plot calculate fL and fH and bandwidth using fH-fL.
