Refer to advertisement CEPTAM - 08 published in Employment news dated 16th 22nd January 2016 for
the recruitment against 1142 posts of DRTC & Admin Allied cadre. As per Government directive Interview
will not be held for these posts. However, Tier-II written examination will be conducted for candidates
shortlisted on the basis of written exam.
2.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA (FOR TIER-II EXAM): Tier-II examination will be held for those candidates who
qualify in written examination of CEPTAM - 08 to be held on 17 July 2016 (to be referred as Tier-I
examination henceforth). Candidate will be further shortlisted for Tier-II examination in a ratio of 1:6 for
STA B and Junior Translator and 1:8 for all other post codes where Skill / Trade test are mandatory.

EXAM CITIES (FOR TIER-II EXAM): Tier-II examination will be held at 5-6 major cities (Depending upon
the shortlisted candidates).
4.
DATE OF EXAMINATION (FOR TIER-II EXAM): Examination date for Tier-II examination will be
published on website later. The exact date, time and venue will be communicated by admit card.
5.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION (FOR TIER-II EXAM): The Tier-II examination will be OMR based of 60
questions and of 01 hour duration.
a) For STA B & Technician A : The Tier-II examination will consist of (i) 10 questions on Knowledge
about common Scientific / Technological Advancement & current affairs (ii) 50 Questions on Subject
concerned.
b) For Junior Translator: The Tier-II examination will consist of (i) 10 Questions on General Awareness
& current affairs (ii) 25 Questions each on Hindi and English Language.
c) For Stenographer Grade II, Admin Assistant A & Store Assistant A : The Tier-II examination will
consist of (i) 10 questions on General Awareness & current affairs (ii) 25 questions on General English
(iii) 25 Questions on Hindi OR English language.
d) For Vehicle Operator A& Asstt. Halwai-cum-Cook: The Tier-II examination will consist of (i) 10
Questions on General Awareness & current affairs (ii) 25 Questions on General English (iii) 25
Questions related to Job.
6.
SYLLABUS AND MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION (FOR TIER-II EXAM): The syllabus of the Tier-II
examination will be based on the standards of essential qualification required for the post. The medium
for Tier-II examination will be Hindi or English.
7.
MODE OF SELECTION (AFTER TIER-II EXAM): The final selection will be based on combined merit of
post / category / sub-category of the candidate and on the basis of marks obtained in Written Examination
of Tier-I & Tier-II examination taken together in the ratio of 85% and 15% respectively. However, it would
be mandatory for the candidate to secure minimum 45% marks for SC/ST and 50% marks for others to
qualify the Tier-II examination. It is reiterated that it is also mandatory for the candidates appearing in
Tier-II examination to pass the prescribed skill / trade tests, as per the norms, wherever applicable. If
there are two or more candidates in the same category having equal marks, the candidate older in age will
get preference. The mode of selection may change depending upon the contingencies.
