Routines & Procedures

Entering Class
Come to class with a positive attitude.
Grab folder and pencil from assigned
slot.
Be in your seat and begin mental
warm-up before the bell rings.

Attendance
Will be taken by me during bell work.
Once the semester has started, section
leaders will take attendance and
report it to me.

Addressing your Teacher

My name is Jared Bulson.
You may call me Mr. Bulson or Mr. B.
No other names are appropriate for
our professional relationship.

Using the Restroom

Please use the bathroom before or
after class.
Only go if it is an absolute emergency.
Use hand signals as discussed.
Passes are located on the hook by the
door. Quietly leave your seat, grab the
pass, and use the restroom.
You should be gone no longer than 5
minutes.

Food and Drink

ABSOLUTELY no food or gum is to be
brought to class.
Water is the absolute only beverage
you may have in class.
There is a water fountain. You are
welcome to utilize this water fountain
throughout class.
If you have food or a non-water drink,
there will be a table to place these. You
may pick these up on your way out.

Seating

Voice placement will begin on Day 2.

This will last through Day 3.
We will be determining your range
(how high and low your voice goes).
You will sit according to your range
(soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and your
timbre (the specific tone of your
voice). You will be sitting with your
section (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).
Once you are placed, you are to sit in
this arrangement daily.

Turning in Work
All work will be turned in at the end of
the day in your choir folder.
At the end of the period, hand your
folder to your section leader, and he or
she will place all folders on the piano.
