Algebra II Math Project

~Create a Song, Poem, or Storybook~


Your assignment is to create your choice of a song, poem or storybook.
Choice #1 ~ Math Song:
You are to create the lyrics of a math song to the tune of any song or create your own. You
should also be prepared to present your song to the class by performing in class or you may
create a music video, which we will watch in class.
If you choose to make a music video, it is your responsibility to post the video and email the link
or make the video readily available on or before the due date.
Choice #2 ~ Math Poem:
You are to create a poem about math. It can rhyme, but it doesnt have to. However, it MUST
be creative!! You are to hand in a creative picture or poster to go along with your poem.
Choice #3 ~ Math Storybook:
You are to create a story about math. It can be a childrens book kind of story or it can be a
collection of smaller stories. Your book should be creative and have pictures to go along with
the story.

Criteria:
Your written portion should contain at least 5 algebraic mathematical terms that we have
discussed this school year. You also must include at least 1 fact (definition or property) about
each term. All written portions must be typed or points will be deducted.

***All portions of this project should be school appropriate and should not contain any
profanities or any references to drugs, sex, alcohol, etc. Any projects including content that is
not school appropriate will result in a zero grade. ***

**The project is worth 50 points. 5 points will be deducted each day the project is late. It will
not be accepted after 3 days late and will result in a grade of a zero. ***
