The Port of Wesria

The Port of Wesria, situated on the west side of Wesrian Bay, is the first stop for sailors coming into
the city, beyond the docks and through the waterfront businesses youll see the Port Wall which
divides the port from the market district along the base of the wall are a number of gateways that
lead into the market district. Access to the market district via the port can be hard as you either need
a Citizens Pass or lots of Gold, so for a lot of sailors the port is their only impression of Wesria and the
only place where they can trade goods. There are many trading shops and sea based businesses
located by the port, fisheries, dock hands, dismantlers and ship builders, as well as some less than
savoury back street dealers. Along the dock areas youll come across many welcoming taverns and
inns, these tend to be just for sailors but some travellers enjoy the rowdy company. If fishing is your
thing then the port is a must to visit, although its a busy port the fish are plentiful and the water is
crystal clear.

The Villages

The Villages is an area across the Wesrian Bay to the east. It was the area where the city of Wesria
first came to be, where the settlers which came to be the founders of Wesria first set up camp. Over
time it hasnt progressed much only expanded until eventually the Port of Wesria was created and the
main city was developed. The Villages is fully of closely knit communities based around supplying
commerce to the main area of the city. Though part of Wesria many consider, including the Royal
Family, The Villages to be a separate entity to the main city. These small areas are run by village elders
who are directly related to the first founders. If you prefer the simple life and things on a smaller scale
The Villages defiantly has a quaint appeal to it.

The Market District

The Market district of Wesria is where the hustle and bustle is, the busy part of the city and where
you can find almost anything you need. Item Shops, Potion Shops and magic shops to name a few.
There are armourers and black smiths and many, many, many trinket stalls. You wont just find shops
here though, the market district is a melting pot for many different races, so the housing here varies
vastly and so does the overall street dcor. Around the world the Market district is often known as the
Guild District, this area of Wesria houses the largest assortment of guilds youll ever find. The area has
an abundance of different guild types, merchant guilds, craftsman guilds, transport guilds, adventuring
guilds and much more, it really is the hub for all things.

A couple of the more notable guilds in the Market District are the Pathfinders Guild and the
Shipwrights Guild. The shipwrights are often hired to help around the port to help with the
dismantling and building of ships, but they are also the go to guild for sea related contracts, be it
dispatching pirates or treasure salvage. They also get a number of contracts from the archipelagos and
islands near Wesria. The Pathfinders Guild is the most well known in Wesria, there uniqueness makes
them stand out from other guilds of the same type.

Running through the Market district, from the sea to Living Lake is the Market canal. Goods that are
delivered via the port are taken down the Market canal to be distributed throughout the city. There
are delivery companies along the canal that will collect cargo and deliver it to shops and businesses.
The port end of the canal is said to be a very seedy area, not due to the nature of work but to the
nature of the people in the area. As you make your way down the canal the scenery will improve vastly
and you will reach Lake Living.

Lake living is the largest lake in Wesria and it is the perfect little get away spot, though it may not be
for much longer. Not many fish live in the lake any more due to the river that used to fill the lake being
damned and now the lakes only source of water is from the canal. The living lake is named as such due
the lake being alive and taking the spiritual form of a deer. Due to the encroaching threat of the canal,
which is affecting the lake water, many lake goers have noted the absence of the deer as it is appearing
less and less. Though the noise of what people claim to be a crying deer can be heard at night.

The Pathfinders Guild

The Pathfinders guild is located in the market district within the city of Wesria, Wesreach. I guess you
could say that the Pathfinders fall into the category of adventuring guilds but the contracts and
requests they accept are far different from you average guild. The oddness of this guild shows its self
on the surface but as you delve deeper into its members and history the oddness can quickly turn into
the downright weird and mysterious. It is a tall building consisting of 3 stories and a basement, there
is a tall tower attached to the building which is only accessible from inside the guild. Youll immediately
notice the inhabitants arent normal humans by any stretch, the majority will be animal folk. A rare
species of half human, half animal hybrids. The master of the Guild only hires animal folk though his
reason is unknown, the members of the guild however come in all shapes and sizes.
The ground floor of the guild is a large tavern, brightly lit and full of gleeful atmosphere here youll
find the Guild shop run by Flamingo Flynn, who loves playing beat the moneylender. The shop is
where the guild members stock up on all manner of items and knickknacks before embarking on their
contacts, they can also place item orders here.

The tavern is ran by perhaps the only non-animal staff member, his name is unknown, he simply goes
by Barkeep and he is very obviously human, however he wears a fake pair of rabbit ears and whiskers
which seem to fool the Guild Master. If you happen to spot him out on the street, be it by himself or
with friends and family, he will pretend to not know of your existence, perhaps its to spare him from
embarrassment. And lastly the guild porter, Llama boy, was said to be quite the fighter before taking
up his job in the Guild.
As you make your way up the stairs onto the first floor youll find yourself on the dormitory floor. This
is where the guild members all sleep and each have their own personalised rooms, due to the increase
in numbers there is a secondary dormitory area on the second floor. Both these floors have balconies
all around the floor so you can look down onto the tavern from above. Only accessible on the ground
floor is a door which leads to a long winding staircase which passes by the first and second floor, it
takes you to the Guild Masters room which is at the top of the guild tower. The Guild Masters room is
off limits to anyone unless they have permission from the Master to enter. Upon entering the room
youll be hit with strong aromas, partly due the number of shishas in the room spewing out fragranced
smoke. Due to it being in the top of the tower it is a tall room reaching to the rafters of the tower.
There are decorative cushions and rugs covering the room and blankets and curtains hung on the
walls. The room is warmly lit by candles and lanterns, it is quite obvious that more relaxing happens
in this room than hard work.
The Master of the guild is Meowly Bombach, it is up for debate whether he is part of the catfolk race
or whether he is just a large cat that can speak common, and large he is. Standing at full dwarf height
when on all fours and reaching even larger than a tall human when standing on two feet. This is not
seen often though as Meowlys favourite past time is probably lying down. His second favourite is
sampling rare and fine shishas from around the world, you could also say he has a flair for interior
design. Meowly is known all over Wesria and his name has been known to travel further. He is well
known from his days adventuring and he is said to be quite the force to be reckoned with, though his
best days are behind him.

The Upper Housing District

The Upper housing district is one of the better kept areas of the Wesria as it is walled off from the rest
of the city much like the Superior housing district. The buildings in this district have been split up into
six groups, each group has its own distinctive roofing colour to signify which group they are in. Each
group is run by its own small council that look after the area. Though infighting among groups isnt an
issue, children from the groups will fight with others that live in groups that differ from their own. You
could say this area is the middle class portion of the city and is home to successful business owners
and merchants, there are nice schools and lush green parks, the perfect place for a picnic. The biggest
park in the Upper housing district is Green Fair Park and it is home to the worlds largest greenhouse
The Wesrian Wintergreen, it houses plants and wildlife from all over the continent, with desert and
jungle sections the greenhouse it surely is a sight to behold.

The Superior Housing District

The Superior Housing district is walled off from the rest of the city. But unlike the Upper area the
superior area is only for the elites. Many of these people may be related in some way or another to
royalty and will own large mansion like houses. The only way to gain access to this area is to have a
Superior pass or to have an audience to with the king. One can only get to the royal palace by passing
through the Superior district and crossing the large bridge that connects this area to the royal island.
There is said to be a secret Thieves Guild which works out one of the mansions in this area, though
the claims are up for speculation. There are a high number of burglaries however, not much is taken
during these crimes, usually just a high priced vase or painting. The inhabitants of the Superior Housing
district dont seem to pay much mind to it anyway.
The superior Housing district is also where the Palace guard and Wesrian army headquarters is
located. Though not much training actually goes on within the city, its camps can be found in the
Mountain Wisp forest.

The Royal Palace

The Royal Palace is situated on Royal Island and can only be accessed by crossing the Emerald
Footbridge which connects Royal Island to the Superior Housing District. The Emerald Footbridge is
large viaduct bridge which spans across the Wesrian bay. It is decorated with trees and plants and
hanging from each viaduct is are large Wesrian Banners with the Wesrian star on them. The island
itself is very well looked after, constant gardening is going taking place in the Palace Gardens, which
surround the entire palace. Nature is also very present within the palace walls, vines and trees can be
seen almost everywhere you look. In the centre courtyard is the Emerald Fountain the largest and
most beautiful fountain in all of Wesreach, it shoots water 30 foot in the air and the fountain pools
are all covered in polished emerald.

The current king of Wesreach and the royal family, the Karistads, resides in this palace and have for
two terms each term lasting fifty years. The Royal Palace is also where the grand council is held to
decide the royal family for the following term, and so every fifty years a grand ball is held in the palace
to celebrate. The interior of the palace is decorated in greens and golds to represent the Wesrian
colours and banners and flags are hung, not sparingly, in the main entrance area. The palace is a feat
of construction due to its massive size and relative quick building time. The Emerald Throne is located
in the palace Grand hall, this is where the king will sit during high council meeting and if any large scale
audiences are in attendance. There are no paintings of the Grand Hall or the Emerald Throne, but
those who have seen it say it is unimaginable in beauty and elegance.

The Nettles

The Nettles is an area is Wesria that used to be part of the Mountain Wisp Forest. Settlers from all
over who came to live in Wesria and were turned away were forced to set up small enclaves in the
Forest, though there are mainly humans here, the Nettles has more races living in it than the main
city. Elves tend to prefer The Nettles to Wesria anyway as they connect more with the forest and the
spirits which reside there. It is said to be a magical place with a strong magical aura, many wizards
and sorcerers live out in the Nettles and there are small herbalists and magic shops found within the
enclaves.
The Nettles was eventually accepted as part of Wesria, mainly so the royal families and the army could
make use of its magical powers. Though it is still not ruled over by the Wesrian council, its inhabitants
are classed as being Wesrian, some of the people that live here arent too fond of that decision though.
There were lots of years where they were looked down upon by the rest of Wesria and still hold a
grudge against them for this. They are also aware the Wesrian council has set their eyes on the area
so they can expand the city.
