Dipolog gears up for Dahunog 2016

DIPOLOG CITY, Aug. 17 (PIA) The city government here is gearing up for
Dahunog sa Dipolog 2016 which is slated on September 23 to October 9,
this year.

This festivity, which is in celebration of the feast in honor of Our Lady of the
Most Holy Rosary of the Roman Catholic church is the support of the city
government by way of providing entertainment to local residents and visitors
during the Dahunog 2016.

The activity will be opened with a Fun Run and the presentation of Miss
Teen Tourism 2016 at the Dipolog Sports Center in Barangay Olingan.

Among the competitions to be conducted will be the Sky Running Challenge,

Rock Climbing and Rapelling Challenge, Interpretative Dance Competition,
Dahunog Singing Icon, Invitational Cheer Dance and Dance Sport
Competition, Longboard Competition, Bike-Run-Shoot and the Football Fest.

Moreover, there will be a Drum Corps and Parade Band Competition to be

participated by the different elementary and secondary schools in the city.

Meanwhile, the Alay Lakad-Takbo 2016 will also be conducted as one of the
major activities to raise funds for deserving indigent out-of-school youths
