Creating a Profit Center Master

Create a controlling area using T Code OKKP

Since there is no Cross Company code Cost accounting, maintain controlling area
same as company code level.
Assign your company code to this controlling area

To create a Profit Center master use

T Code: KE51

It shows an error that a Profit Center Group is not created

This error occurs due to the controlling area not having a standard hierarchy for
profit center creation

Go back with T Code: OKKP

CCtr Std Hierarchy is the Cost Center Groups used while creating a cost center. Then
Click Activate Component/ control indicators

Press Yes

Then click on New Entries

Activate Profit Center Accounting, Change the cost Center component to Active to
create Cost Centers and SAVE

Once this is done follow this path or use T Code: /n0ke5

Enter data in standard hierarchy and SAVE

Then create a new Profit Center using T code : KE51

Enter the profit center group that you just created. (Notice: the status is INACTIVE)

Press the wand on the Top left of the screen to activate it and the Profit Center is
created.

Now Go to KCH1

See the Profit Center that is assigned below the profit center group.
Now to create a cost Center

Use this path or T Code: KS01

Enter Data

Press Enter

When you go to Standard Hierarchy and press F4

The data will automatically get assigned as it was saved while creating the
controlling area

Then SAVE and your cost center is created.

You can then check using T Codes : KCH5N & OKEON
