Adding Infotypes to Fast Entry Screen

It is possible to add/remove the infotypes that appear on the fast entry initial screen. This
example shows PA70 Personnel Admin, currently has fast entry for infotypes 0014, 0015 and
0128. We wish to add infotype 2001 to this list as an example.
Note: This document was written from SAP v4.6c
Heres a screen shot taken from PA70 Fast Entry:

The configuration explained:
Change Infotype Menu
IMG Personnel Management Personnel Admin Customising Procedures Infotype Menu
On the sub-menu box that appears, click Infotype Menu
In the dialogue box that appears, enter 07 for PA Master Data, 09 for Time Data. 07 is the one
used in transaction PA70.
For this configuration, we need to know which user group we are to make the changes against.
Look down the list on the left for user group and page down to the one you want to maintain. If
you do not see yours on the list, you will be using the reference user group, which is usually 99
(look at the ref user group field at the top right).
An example:

Here we see against user group 99 the 3 entries that are controlling the screen shot at the top of
this document = PA70.
To add 2001 Absences to the list, we click <New entries>, enter 99 and No. 04 for the sequence
number (next on the list), then 2001 for the infotype. The screen column is where you can specify
an alternate screen number, but this would not normally be used. After the changes, it may look
like so:

Click <save> and exit, then go to PA70 and check your new infotype appears on the screen.
Heres our example screen with the new 2001 infotype on it.
Adding infotypes that are not available
You may notice that not all infotypes are available on the list to be added to fast entry. If you wish
to add another infotype, perhaps a customer defined one, follow these steps.
IMG Personnel Management Personnel Admin Customising Procedures set up infotype
menu for fast entry
This displays the following table:

To add the desired infotype copy an existing line or click <new entries>. Enter your infotype
number and leave the screen control blank. Enter 4000 for the default value and 5000 for fast
data entry.
Note that the infotype needs to have a fast entry screen 5000 created for it. Creating fast entry
screens can be done by a dialogue programmer or possibly the person who created the new
infotype.
The selection report can be a complex area, but typically the standard pre-selection report will
suffice so enter RPLFST00. The selection report is defines the pre-selection screen that appear
