PUJOR JAMA: DISTRIBUTION OF NEW
CLOTHES TO STREET CHILDREN
New clothes were distributed to street children at Nabodisha
Gariahat in association with Hope Kolkata Foundation. Rtn. Geeta
Venkadakrishnan, Rtn. Ritesh Kapoor, Rtn. Banashree Mitra, AG
Rtn. Chandrani Chakraborty along with the President and the
Secretary joined the event. This has been done as part of DAAN
UTSAV, a nationwide celebation of giving.

MCI DBTI SEMINAR ON SKILL

DEVELOPMENT
A Seminar on 'Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Road
Ahead' organized jointly by MCCI and DBTI and supported by
Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner City was be held on Tuesday, 20th
September 2016, 11 am onwards at the auditorium of Don Bosco
Technical Institute, 23, Darga Road, Park Circus, Kolkata- 700 017.
Rtn. Ritesh Kapoor and Rtn. Suman Chakraborty represented the
club at the event.

Ann. Malika Kapoor and Rtn. Ritesh Kapoor took measurements for
the clothes for the children and the clothes are bought according
to the measurement for actual fit.
Rtn. Suman Chakraborty also represented the club at a Press Meet
organized by the Hope Kolkata Foundation where he elucidated the
details about this programme to the media.

Minutes of the 1146th Regular Weekly Meeting of Rotary Club of
Calcutta Inner City held on Friday, 16th September 2016 at 1 pm at
Calcutta Club:
1. The 1146th Regular Weekly Meeting is called to order by the
President.
2. National anthem is led by Rtn. Bani Roy Choudhury.
3. Leave of absence is granted to Rtn. Ritesh Kapoor, Rtn. Pradip Das
4. The President welcomes the visiting Rotarians on Goodwill Visit
from RC Calcutta. The guests are felicitated and flags exchanged.
5. The President welcomes guest speaker and Charter Member of
the club Mr. PR Ramesh, Chairman of Deloitte India.
6. The minutes of the last RWM, No. 1145, held on 9th September
2016 is circulated and confirmed.

- A Seminar on 'Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Road
Ahead' organized jointly by MCCI and DBTI and
supported by Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner City would be held on
Tuesday, 20th September 2016, 11 am onwards at the auditorium
of Don Bosco Technical Institute, 23, Darga Road, Park Circus,
Kolkata- 700 017. More details would be e-mailed soon.
- An RCC Visit to Ranjapur is being organized on Saturday, 24th
September 2016. We would leave Calcutta Club in the morning.
Please contact me directly by Monday, 19th September 2016 if
you want to go, so that logistics etc. can be arranged. Please note
that another visit to RCC Ranjapur would be made in winter.
- There would be no RWM on Friday, 23rd September 2016 for the
previous co-hosted project and the forthcoming RCC Visit.
- There would be no RWMs on Friday 30th September 2016 for
Mahalaya, and 7th and 14th October for Puja.
- The next Regular Weekly Meeting, no. 1147, would be held on
Friday, 21st October 2016, at 7.00 pm at Calcutta Club. This is an
evening meeting and we would celebrate Bijoya Sammilani.
- The future programmes scheduled and planned in are printed on
page 2 of Inner Voice.
7. PRESIDENT'S ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Indo-British Scholar's Association, a part of British Council and
the Kolkata Chapter of Association of British Scholars have
decided that they would donate Rs.65,000/- to the schools of run
by our 3 RCCs for smart classroom and other educational
development. Arranged by Secretary Suman Chakraborty. This is
part of their annual donation. This would enable us to have smart
classrooms in at least 2 of our 3 schools.
- PP Chandrani Chakraborty and PDG Nayantara Palchoudhuri
attended the Inter City Meet at National Library auditorium on
3rd September 2016 at 4:00 pm.
- PDG Nayantara also attended the Council of Governor's meeting
with the Rotary International Director at the Calcutta Club on the
Same evening.
8. The President requests Rtn. Bani Roy Choudhuri to introduce
Mr. PR Ramesh.
9. Mr. PR Ramesh presents his speech.
10. Vote of thanks presented by the President.
11. The President thanks the Rotarians from Rotary Club of
Calcutta for coming to Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner City on
Goodwill visit and mentions that members of this club would also
make goodwill visit to their club.
12. Greetings are conveyed to Rotary Club of Calcutta.
13. Sunshine Box collection was Rs. 220/- with special
contributions from Rtn. N. N. Framjee and Rtn. Suman
Chakraborty.
14. The President adjourns the meeting at 2.30 pm.
