In my childhood I used to play Age of Empires.

One thing that I remember about the

game is that there were different societies in it. As the game progress these
societies grow by gaining knowledge and were described that they have advanced
to Bronze Age or Iron Age. So, that showed me that advancement in the knowledge
about materials has direct link with the growth of civilization.
Subdivision of Material Courses:1. Material Science- Investigation and study of relationships that exists between
structure and properties of materials. Synthesize new materials.
2. Material Engineering- Designing and engineering the structure of material
based on these interrelationships. Create new products or systems using
existing materials. Develop techniques to process materials.
Structure- Arrangement of internal components. Arrangement can be studied on
subatomic, atomic, microscopic and macroscopic levels.
Property- It is a material trait in terms of kind and magnitude of response to a
specific imposed stimulus. Can be grouped into 6 Categories:
