It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Rose Chang. I have had the
privilege of working with her for the past four years in both an academic and community
service environment as the El Capitan High School Leo Club Advisor.
During this time, Rose has demonstrated the highest level of commitment to the principles of
the sponsoring Lions Clubs mission of we serve. She has served as the El Capitan High School
Leo Clubs Secretary and the clubs Vice President. Her dedication and consistent participation
at community service events has touched the lives of many people and helped the club achieve
a stellar reputation within the community.
Rose has excellent communication skills and works well within a group environment. She has
mastered the difficult art of careful listening. She encourages open discussion from team
members prior to contributing her own purposeful concepts and ideas to the group.
Rose is a hardworking individual as evidenced by her excellent academic achievement. Not
satisfied with just being among one of the top students in her class, she is always willing to take
on challenging assignments. In 2014, she competed in the Lions Clubs Statewide Student
Speaker Contest where she advanced through three rounds of competition.
